Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Best way to powerdown Allo player
If you have an Android phone then you can do this 30919 But you still have to switch off the power manually afterwards (and switch on again, to restart). ronnie +---+ |Filename: LMS shutdown.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=30919| +---+ Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112509 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Best way to powerdown Allo player
Hello, In fact I have to remember why my first and main question : How to stop LMS and why ? > Because it needs to be properly closed before shut-down. (That's not a problem with Squeezelite which runs on RAM). And before that, it's because we decided to shutdown the system by its main PSU button. So, we just need to close properly LMS before cutting the PSU. The way you suggest using a shortcut to main LMS page is ok. Of course, a button on a screen in order to stop directly and properly LMS will be better, but I understand not so easy. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Best way to powerdown Allo player
Unfortunately, the only way to restart a pi is to power cycle it. You should note that just issuing a shutdown does not remove power from the pi. Issue shutdown, wait about 30 seconds, pull the power. Plug back in to start. There are some fancier power boards that can do this for you.but you still have to push a button to start. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. It can be done on the Raspberry PI OS (previously raspbian) well I think so:). But it means that one can't use a HAT as it uses two gpio pins. I think the best bet would be the Audiophonics power board. Or, power both of the raspberry pi from a power strip, shutdown with the phone, switch off the power on the strip (there are remote controlled plugs avaialable). This would mean, of course, that should you awake in the night, with a desire to boogie to fip, you have to switch everthing back on :( :p:p en santé ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112509 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Hello, paul- wrote: > The only other option would be to use a web browser.you could make a > favorite of the "Shutdown" button on the pCP web interface. As you said, there is some thread about this shutdown. Some of them have no answer, and some others not really easy to adapt with my (poor) level of knowledge. And probably some other I haven't found... So probably a good job to make it ;) Also I tried to surch the "shutdown" button address to make a favorite... But never find it. (I said ... Not that I know of. Interfacing a button to the rpi GPIO is likely what you need. Or just leave it on all the time. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Best way to powerdown Allo player
There are many ways to do it. There are several threads already discussing it. It can be done from the web interface, done with a http call from a home automation sstem, or you could interface a butting with GPIO. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Best way to powerdown Allo player
Hello, I just installed an Allo Digione signature player with Picoreplayer. (And upgrade my first system with that soft too : Rpi4 + Hiffiberry Dac + Pro XLR). The main player (RPi3B+ with Allo DOS) is server (LMS) and player (Squeezelite). The PSU for this unit is the double power Shanti by Allo. With PcP is V6.1.0, I see there is no problem to shut down Squeezelite directly, but it seem dangerous to power down LMS. How do you shutdown the Allo digione signature player ?
