At last...

The diagnostics tab in LMS had been suggesting that Eset could be the
problem so I played around with the settings without any success. I then
reviewed the thread Paul referred to and opened up the plugin.pm file
and understood what was going on. I VPN in to LMS when I am out and
about and had removed the port forwarding for 9000 and 3483 as these
were no longer required. However, I had not removed port forwarding for
9090 (CLI). I removed this and things are working as they should be.

Thanks to all for assistance rendered.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS Keeps turning itself off

2018-03-30 Thread Shozzer

Hi

This issue is still driving me crazy (and the family as well)! The
diagnostics tab in LMS is suggesting that Eset Anti Virus is known to
cause problems. Are there any other users who have Eset and know which
settings to tweak? I have been finding that in addition to the server
switching itself off, from time to time Spotty is uninstalling itself
and has to be reinstalled. I can post a copy of the server log file if
that would help?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - my wife is talking about
buying a cd player to play all the cds we have stored in the loft!

Seems like something is blocking your network access.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS Keeps turning itself off

2018-03-14 Thread Shozzer

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help please with an irritating issue? I have been
experiencing a problem with LMS over the last few days where the LMS
server switches itself off. Switching it on again causes it to run again
for a time before turning off again. My OS is Windows Homeserver 2011
and I am using the latest nightly v7.9.1, 1520781386. My server is
connected via Ethernet to the router via Devolo. I have recently
uninstalled the Trackstat and Ickstream plugins but the problem was
occurring before I did this. If I am reading the server log correctly
then the issue seems to revolve around accessing Mysqueezebox. Is that
correct? I do not generally use Mysqueezebox and could do without it, I
guess, but would like to retain the functionality if possible.
Reliability of the system is of prime importance though. Here is an
excerpt from the server log over the past couple of days:
