Hi Paul, "refreshing" the synced connection seemed to be the fix, thanks for your help on it. From memory it was the same solution last time, but of course it had gone out of my head when it happened this time! Just for information, both players are supposedly identical SBTs and the sync settings are identical. Synchronizing is not a perfect science. If the hardware is not identical, problems are worse..even if they are the same, clock rates of the two devices are never identical. This causes them to get out of sync. Take a look at the synchronize settings on the players tab in the LMS settings. Adjusting these can help. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Played for 4 hours without an issue, mix of Spotify and my library, no issues. Reconnected 2nd player and again no issues. Played for 2 hours, then synced the 2nd to the 1st. Played another 2 hours without a problem. The system is now set exactly as it was when the problem was happening, but by completely removing the second synced player and then reintroducing it the problem has been fixed. Interesting! Yes, LastMix uses Last.fm only to get information about the mix. For the actual playback it would use whatever track was available (local, or remote services such as Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer, Napster). And yes, please try without the syncing. And please check what streaming format you're using (Settings/Advanced/File formats). As an aside, I have just come to realise that DSTM with LastMix ticked actually streams from Spotty; I naively thought that it was streaming from LastFM, I realise now that it only pulls the mix down from there! So when I say I am having pauses in streaming from LastFM & Spotty I really mean just Spotify (Spotty). I have two SBTs connected to the pi3, and they are both synced. This set-up has been status quo for a couple of years and to be honest, I had the same issue about a year ago, but then it was not just streaming services but my own library connected direct to the pi. I have only become aware of the problem with LastFM and Spotty in the last couple of weeks as the previous issue was solved a year ago, but I can't recall the fix! There are no neighbours using my wi-fi, and the internet comes via cable. I will change my SBTs so that only one is connected to the pi and trial that. How many players do you have (even counting ones that are turned off) Are you sure you don't have another player sync'd. Also in the case of wifi, it is not just your activity, but a neighbor could be operating on the same wifi frequency..in which case you are sharing bandwidth. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Using pi3 with LMS 7.9.2 always updated. SBT is connected by wireless to internet modem. The connection is used by other devices and has no streaming issues. Highest rate FLAC files stream from my library over wifi to SBT with no problems. Usually if there is a buffering issue the screen reads "re-buffering", but that is not happening when Spotty and LastFM (via DSTM), there are random pauses of 6 seconds but not in every song. I have tried dropping the bitrate in Spotty from 320 down to 160 but behaviour is the same. I am confident it is not an internet/wi-fi issue as I have tested both with other devices using Spotify at extreme rate. Any thoughts?
