I have a very similar problem, except I can't get some stations to play
at all in LMS. My three local public radio stations (KQED, KALW, KPFA)
do the same thing as quoted above (counts a few secs, stops, no sound).
I have them set up as Favorites in TuneIn (along with several other
stations both public and commercial that play fine). I've entered the
URL many different times and ways with no result.
When I first set up Max2Play, I used the basic MPD Player, and these
stations played fine. I changed to LMS because the phone app is easier
to use.
thanks

That is good general starting poiint but in this case for this station
only MP3 works and only a https URL is returned

Maybe this helps, from general forum

The TuneIn station works for me -- via LMS. However, I had to save it as
a favorite and edit the resulting URL so that the only format it
attempts to use is AAC. Some time ago, TuneIn added a non-existent WMA
stream as one of the options for xxx (and it typically tried to use
it by default

Aha! Thank you so much. I'm glad I asked as I don't think I would have
been able to figure that out on my own. So my next question--is there a
version of LMS I could/should upgrade to that supports SSL? I ask
because I know things are moving to https in general so I can imagine
I'll see other streams stop working as well.

Thanks again.

Tune-in returns a https URL which 7.8 does not support.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Local Station won't play via Tunein URL

2016-12-24 Thread bookemdano

Hi all,

Hoping for some help troubleshooting this. I'll try to be brief.

- LMS 7.8.0 - 1395395852 via VortexBox 2.3
- Station is KCUR-FM 89.3
- URL in LMS is:
Code:

http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s32192=aac,ogg,mp3,wma,wmvoice=16=(redacted)

- In the last week or so, when I try to play it on any of my players
it counts up a couple seconds and then stops (no audio is heard).
Prior to this it has worked just fine for 5+ years.
- Rebooting everything doesn't help.
- Other stations (tunein and others) play fine.
- If I go to tunein from my computer and select that station it plays
fine (and the station ID is the same s32192).
- The URL for streaming I retrieved from kcur.org
(http://kcurlive.umkc.edu:8000/kcur893.m3u) works fine when I use
  Radio->Tune in URL

So while I can get the station to play on LMS using the actual URL, I'd
like to figure out why it won't play via tunein. I tried setting some
logging settings to Debug but they all seemed to revert after saving and
rebooting LMS. Probably human error on my part.

Anyone willing to take a stab at this or see if they can play that
tunein station on their LMS?

Thanks!
