[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Long files are not recognised?
Hi, I have a folder with podcasts that are not included in the library by LMS. I don't know why that is as it's in the very same disc as all my other stuff which is recognised perfectly. The files are an hour in length and the size of 50MB incl. pretty long file names. I can play these files by selecting them in the folder view. But the tags will not be recognised. I have had a look at the files in Musicbee and Desiccated, they look completely normal tagwise. dsm 6.2.2 (synology disk station 115) running lms 8.0 -- rpi with a hifiberry dac+ running picoreplayer (any old version?) -- plugins: material skin, mai, podcasts, musik - folge mir, squeezelite-x, squeeze ctrl streifenleopard's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42019 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114059 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

You could try increasing the loggin level Settings/Advanced/Logging/ then look for things with "scanner" in their name Paul Webster http://dabdig.blogspot.com author of \"now playing\" plugins covering radio france (fip etc), kcrw, supla finland, abc australia, cbc/radio-canada and rte ireland Paul Webster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=105 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114059 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Fwiw, my LMS is happy with a lot of files >50MB (I have a lot of FLAC files), many with long filenames and filepaths Eg, to pick just one example ― a 96MB file with a 72 char filename and a 183 char filepath. > I can play these files by selecting them in the folder view. I'm not familiar with Musicbee or Desiccated, but fwiw foobar2000 has a "Rebuild MP3 Stream" function that will strip and rewrite all tags, which generally seems to fix weird tagging issues (if that's what it is). Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Long files are not recognised?
Oh man I sorted it out. When SpiderJon mentioned this extra Option in foobar2000 it occurred to me that I hadn't checked the files in MusicBee's Tag Inspector. It turned out that each of these files had sth like ten extra tags like TXXX with single letter values. After deleting these extra tags LMS can display the files just fine. I am also grateful for being pointed to the fact that there actually IS a scanner.log sth I had never bothered to check. dsm 6.2.2 (synology disk station 115) running lms 8.0 -- rpi with a hifiberry dac+ running picoreplayer (any old version?) -- plugins: material skin, mai, podcasts, musik - folge mir, squeezelite-x, squeeze ctrl streifenleopard's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42019 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114059 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
