Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Strange Problem - can't find my Players through the (old) iOS Logitech App anymore

2018-11-05 Thread slimhase

Thanks guys!
After a lot of scrutiny (I even ran the sever with a year old harddrive
backup and updated ubuntu and LMS to the current status), the strange
solution to my problem was:

I needed to switch the "CSRF-Schutzstufe" in the LMS security settings
from 'medium' to 'off'- and the players showed up again in the App!
Very strange I have no clue about this cross site stuff (CSRF) and
I am pretty sure I never touched those settings before or at least
not for ages.

Anyway. It's all running again - and I am happy!

Apologies, I misread what you were trying to say.

I don't have a copy of the Logitech App available anymore but assuming
that you have cleared the iOS cache when you uninstalled and reinstalled
then it should work with any LMS so as others have said have there been
any changes to your Joggler based LMS ?

Is port 3483 and UDP broadcast alllowed ? No update done on the atom
machine?

Did autodiscevery work to begin with or did you tell the old app the
server ip manually ? Has the ip changed ?

anything special with your network ? Your choice of base IP address is a
bit unusual.

? This is not helpful.

As I stated, it still works with an Arm-based LMS setup within the same
network, but not on an Atom based LMS setup.
And about a couple of weeks ago, it still worked with the Atom based
system as well

Do you throw your SBes out, because they are 'out of date and
obsolete'?

I can’t connect to my network with my W95 pc! The reason for that is
it’s out of date and obsolete. So is the Logitech app.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Strange Problem - can't find my Players through the (old) iOS Logitech App anymore

2018-11-04 Thread slimhase

Hi;
I have a strange problem:
Suddenly, I can not reach / find any of my players through the old iOS
Logitech App.

Strangly, this only happens w/ this old App and using my Atom based LMS
(*)
(When I use iPeng or other Apps on Android the Players show up)

Even stranger: When I fire up a different LMS on the same network
running on a rpi zero (**), the players are seen via the iOS App!

I rebootet everything a couple of times, updated LMS, reinstalled the
iOS App, I have no firewall changed,
Can anyone lead me to what to check / what the problem might be?
-> I am currently completely clueless.

Also, It used to work before.

I really would like to get this running again, as I like to have these
old iPhones as remotes around in the house.
(I have iPeng, but the old Logitch App was more responsive on these old
phones.
Also, I could switch to the much discussed new mobile skin material -
but these mobile skins don't run / show on these old phones either, as
discussed in the material skin thread)
