DSDPlayer is under LMS Settings > Plugins > 3rd party plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] DSD player Plugin

2021-09-15 Thread viperrabbit

Need help.

I have LMS 8.2 installed on Asustor NAS. After running a full scan, I
found out that DSD files were not scanned. When I was running LMS 8.2
on my Windows 10 computer, DSD files were scanned.

Do I need to install the DSDPlayer plugin? Where can I get this
plugin?

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] DSD player Plugin

2020-08-09 Thread Man in a van

It's the DX3Pro which shows the boxes, which it should

and

PiCorePlayer which doesn't, because it supports native playback of DSD

when I was playing about with DSD yesterday the DX3Pro [RoPieeeXL]
needed the boxes for playback, but doesn't today

I simply got mixed up between the players, as one does

Well, I'm all confused.com today (and Yesterday and the day before
)

The boxes are missing on one player, but remain on another player.

They both play DSD.

I use a Topping DX3 Pro dac connected by USD from a rpi 4b.

I have been experimenting with the OS from RoPieeeXL

It has a Squeezelite player which shows as a piCorePlayer instance.

Hmm it seems to have changed ownership to squeezeboxserver which is what
I did manually. Are you saying it doesn't work with the correct
ownership and did work when it was incorrect? Strange.

Yes, thank Ronnie.

Curious that the search doesn't look in
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/DSDPlayer/Bin/{armhf-linux,arm-linux}
for dsdplay.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] DSD player Plugin

On the Raspberry PI OS system that DSD Player does NOT work, I suspect
we likely need to build a dsdplay aarch64 binary (armv8). What does the
search path for dsdplay look like in the log with the following
enabled?

Set os.paths logging to debug and check the save log settings then
restart LMS with the dsdplayer plugin enable.

Navigate to the DSD Player setting and in the server.log you'll see
where the dsdplayer plugin searches for dsdplay.

Code:

I have a 'newer DSDPlay plugin v1.05 available'
with support for arm, windows, freebsd and macos. However you have to
manually install it in the Plugins folder as I don't provide the current

I just tried the player page on a UPNP radio (which doesn't support
native DSD playback) but still the same blank page.

Not riding so much these days - anno domini catching up and lycra seems
to be getting tighter every time I put it on.

Did a few very early morning rides at the peak of COVID - brilliant
empty roads.

Thanks for the reply and info Ian.

I thought it might be Browser related but as all my screenshots were
from the same Firefox I doubt it (I also tried the new Edge and Chrome,
without any beter detail).

You were up and about early today, is the lycra harder to get in to ?

Ronnie I have a two pCp pi4's (server/player) and two pCp pi 3's (player
only) and they all show the blank page - all four with IQ Audio DAC+'s.
I've been playing DSD rips for some time, can't remember how long but
all of them show the blank page but all of them work. I've never seen
the details underneath the heading and I always wondered what the text
meant.
