Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Is there a way in LMS to link two songs together

Boy, there would be a good survey. How many folks use random play. I use
it especially when we're outside or if it's just background music while
doing other stuff. Back in the day I had two Sony 100 disc players that
you could program to shuffle random by playing a song on one player and
then the other back and forth. I guess I'm just a shuffle kind of guy.

Have a great day!

Funny, I'm not a random music player, but on occasion I do like to play
just the "Medley" from Abbey Road. I use this playlist (relative file
location, not explicit);

The Beatles\Abbey Road\09 You Never Give Me Your Money.mp3
The Beatles\Abbey Road\10 Sun King.mp3
The Beatles\Abbey Road\11 Mean Mr Mustard.mp3
The Beatles\Abbey Road\12 Polythene Pam.mp3
The Beatles\Abbey Road\13 She Came In Through The Bathroom Window.mp3
The Beatles\Abbey Road\14 Golden Slumbers.mp3
The Beatles\Abbey Road\15 Carry That Weight.mp3
The Beatles\Abbey Road\16 The End.mp3

Don't know if Random play would treat a playlist as a "single item".

Hi Jim,

Looked around a little and you may try experimenting with deleting lines
2518-2528 JogglerSkinApplet.lua if you're using the Joggler skin.

Cheers,

Howard

Hi Jim,

Not shuffling, to me, would be like eating all the orange M&M's first
and so on. lol I bet you could find that pesky shuffle button in
pcp-jivelite.tcz and delete it. :-) No ideas if you're using LMS
though.

Bests,

Howard

LOL. At 70 you'd think I'd be 'Old School'. Other than a few of my
favorites, I prefer to mix it up.

Thanks for all you do and have done for LMS and the community.
Squeezeboxes and now pCP have been a major source enjoyment in my life
for the past 15-16 years. The music is important and the equipment is
just fun.

Cheers,

Howard

No way of doing this except by physically amalgamating the files but you
know that. You can however *exclude* from a random mix by tagging with
an "exclude" genre and then setting random mix to ignore files tagged
that way.

I have to say I never intentionally use shuffle and I wish I could turn
off the existence of the icon so that I don't accidentally enable it.
