Maybe a couple of days stabilisation was required. Now have run for multiple days using a remote server, windows and also a Linux implementation, and using PiCore only as the player. Further experimentation today and now running 10+ hours of play using PiCore as player and server. Im so pleased. Sound quality is fantastic, using usb dragonfly, and stability is now great after difficult start. Took me a while, and with help from members here, to get the setup correct but now its working so w3ll. And in addition Ive got the lubuntu tried and tested as a backup server. Both lubuntu and pi are so much quicker than Windows! 35 mins for a total scan on 12000 tracks on those platforms versus 8 hours on Windows 10 running on 8th gen i3 intel. mcgoverg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1620 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112461 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Hi Paul, Tried that and no yellow led. Scan failed after about 170 tracks scanned. Tried again this morning and scanned 8700 of 9000 before crashing again no sign of yellow led. Ran another scan looking for changed only and this ran to completion. The library stats are slightly different from my current Windows LMS instance, seems to be about 100 tracks less on the pi lms. Had a couple of crashes following the completion of the scan when I was looking through the log files but Ive left it idle now for about an hour and no crashes. So a step forward but still seems flaky. mcgoverg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1620 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112461 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

About the only thing that would trigger something like that is a power supply problem. You may not have seen that in player only mode, but when using LMS, the CPU usage will increase and could require more power than you can supply it. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Update: It appears to be the 'Music and Artist Information' plugin and the setting 'Artists photos', i.e. when setting to 'Show pictures (can slow down browsing)' and in the browsing menu setting the 'Albumview' option to 'Small Artwork' causes the crash. Can you confirm it happens when you browse items which have not been pre-cached? I haven't been able to reproduce this yet. When i have a crash the server.log can > fill up to 2Gb, not very handy. > Is there someone to point me in the right direction especially for > knowing what to log? > You mean the server.log fills from 0 to 2Gb within less than a day? Did you set some/many of the plugin log levels to DEBUG? If yes, revert them for being able to spot more relevant error msgs first. reinholdk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36070 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109480 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS crashes very often
hi, since i am running a debian lms for a very long time i can tell that i never got any real isuse with the pure lms. take a screenshoot with all your enabled plugins remove all of them and add one plugin after the next until your lms hangs. After that disable all plugins again and check the hanging plugin alone. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS crashes
Would you have forwarded LMS ports to the internet in order to access it from outside your home? If so, stop it. There are people out there exploiting such configurations. > Am 13.04.2017 um 18:49 schrieb ltsv38 >: > > > mherger wrote: >>> This one's coming from a 3rd party plugin.
