Hi, I see that there is no -I/usr/local/include option to the compiler. Add that as a CPPLAGS when calling configure (e.g. CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/local/include ./configure ) this should fix the build for you. It was doing C++ code with clang in your earlier trace. The compilers for FreeBSD should be (clang and clang++) as a pair or (gcc and g++) as a pair.
