Re: [sr-dev] [SR-Users] Releasing Kamailio v5.2.2

2019-03-11 Thread Daniel-Constantin Mierla
Hello,

check if you have the file:

/etc/tmpfiles.d/kamailio.conf

There you can update the access rights value to suit better your
environment.

Cheers,
Daniel

2019-03-11 Thread Daniel-Constantin Mierla
Hello,

short notification to remember everyone that today I will package the
version 5.2.2 out of the git branch 5.2, therefore any backports to that
branch must be announced on sr-dev or irc kamailio channel and wait for
ack before pushing to the branch to avoid conflicts with the release
build process.

Cheers,
Daniel

[sr-dev] [kamailio/kamailio] RTPEngine does not compile with system malloc for pkg (#1885)

2019-03-11 Thread Daniel-Constantin Mierla

### Description

I compile Kamailio with system malloc from time to time to check with static
analyzers for memory leaks. The git master branch fails with:
```
CC (gcc) [M rtpengine.so]   rtpengine_hash.o
In file included from rtpengine.h:26,
 from rtpengine_hash.c:1:
bencode.h:18:11: fatal error: compat.h: No such file or directory
 # include "compat.h"
   ^~
compilation terminated.
make[2]: *** [../../Makefile.rules:100: rtpengine_hash.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [Makefile:511: modules] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/home/porto/work/sip/esr/kamailio-dev/src'
make: *** [Makefile:27: all] Error 2
```
It seems that some file is missing there.

### Troubleshooting

 Reproduction

Run:

```
make MEMPKG=sys cfg
```
Then compile with `make all`.

 Debugging Data

```
See above.
### Possible Solutions
### Additional Information
  * **Kamailio Version** - output of `kamailio -v`
```
Kamailio master branch.
```
* **Operating System**:
```

[sr-dev] Kamailio v5.2.2 Released

2019-03-11 Thread Daniel-Constantin Mierla
Hello,

Kamailio SIP Server v5.2.2 stable release is out.

This is a maintenance release of the latest stable branch, 5.2, that
includes fixes since the release of v5.2.1. There is no change to
database schema or configuration language structure that you have to do
on previous installations of v5.2.x. Deployments running previous v5.2.x
versions are strongly recommended to be upgraded to v5.2.2.

For more details about version 5.2.2 (including links and guidelines to
download the tarball or from GIT repository), visit:

  * https://www.kamailio.org/w/2019/03/kamailio-v5-2-2-released/

RPM, Debian/Ubuntu packages will be available soon as well.

Many thanks to all contributing and using Kamailio! Looking forward
to meeting many of you in Berlin, at Kamailio World Conference 2019!

Cheers,
Daniel

2019-03-11 Thread Daniel-Constantin Mierla
Hello,

meeting still going on. Maybe you can succeed to join, I guess the
freenode has stricter policies for new accounts due to the DDoS they had
a while ago.

Cheers,
Daniel

[sr-dev] [kamailio/kamailio] Terminated Websocket connection keeps logging "forcibly closing connection" (#1886)

2019-03-11 Thread pwakano

### Description
In my WebRTC setup, I have Kamailio receiving connections from the WebRTC
clients (JSSip and SIPML5). Very frequently the logs starts showing the error
messages below. These messages happen every second, so it flood the log files
with this message.
Besides that, since it keeps repeating for a very long time, it is also a
concern that Kamailio didn't properly cleaned some internal data, and actually
falls under a situation it can't do that anymore. This could consume resources
and lead to some performance impact.
```
Mar 12 03:30:31 dev1-sbcaio-01 /usr/sbin/kamailio[6785]: WARNING: websocket
[ws_frame.c:813]: ws_keepalive(): forcibly closing connection
Mar 12 03:30:31 dev1-sbcaio-01 /usr/sbin/kamailio[6785]: ERROR: websocket
[ws_conn.c:377]: wsconn_close_now(): getting TCP/TLS connection
```

### Troubleshooting
>From investigation it is not 100% sure, but it looks like the problem happens
>when the websocket connection is abruptly terminated (not from the browser).
The kamcmd ws.dump command shows no active connections.

 Reproduction
Register to Kamailio via websocket connection with JSSIP
(https://tryit.jssip.net/) or SIPML5 (https://www.doubango.org/sipml5/call.htm)
clients. After registered and with connection opened, put the computer to
sleep. Some time after that the "ws_keepalive(): forcibly closing connection"
will start happening in the logs.
Unfortunately, sometimes this procedure does not cause the problem (I guess the
browser properly terminates the websocket connection), but was the closest I
got to reproducing the error.
