RE: Re[4]: sslivesteam2-Digest - Number 320

2004-08-24 Thread Christopher Coley
The fifth cell was common on some older battery powered CB's and Ham radios.
If using NiCd (also counts NiMH) 1.2V cells add a fifth (5 x 1.2 = 6V) which
gives the same voltage as 4 alkaline (4 x 1.5 = 6V). This could make a big
difference.

Ok now the question where to get 5 cell battery holders?

List Mom Request

2004-05-02 Thread Christopher Coley
Is it posssible to add a heading to the start of the subject "[sslivesteam]"
or something. With the various spam's and fake messages I am getting it is
sometimes difficult to differenciate our messages from spam. E.g. the
subject "Re: Still there???" it wasn't until I saw a message from one of the
list members that I realized these were not spam

Sorry
Chris.

RE: CA glue

2003-04-01 Thread Christopher Coley
Steve which CA was this. I have never run into a CA that was any good
for anything other than temporary fitting. I use it all the time like
locktite, but prefer the real stuff, and have never had an issue undoing
something.

I really would like a CA that works as advertised as I have not been
able to find one to date.

Any chance you could post a picture out of the burner assembly and not
on fire? I would love to see what you were saying about forming the top
of the burner.

Thanks

Re: Ozoned Distilled Water

2001-11-16 Thread Christopher Coley

Ozoned water I would think will be bad. Ozone is added like chlorine is
added to stop bacteria etc. However this will make the water more
corosive so I wouldn't use it.

The WINMAIL.DAT is something that Outlook or Outlook express adds
automatically when the format is RTF.

Change your EMail format to Plain Text and it will go away.

Steve didn't send an attached picture ... I haven't ever figured out
what gets attached to his messages, but they aren't pictures.
