Lieber Vance, wenn Sie schrieben auf Deutsch, ist es wichtig, klar zu
sein.  Was bedeutet Kuppelösen?

Ich habe gern fuer die Deutsche Sprache, Geschichte und Kultur.  Auch
fuer Nederlander.   Wo stammen Sie aus, wenn ich fragen darf?

Meine Ehefrau und ich wohnen in New Britain, CT.  Sie ist hier geboren,
und ich in der nahe Buffalo, NY.  Sie kocht sehr gut, ich bin meistens
Holzwerker, manchmal Metalwerker for Dampflokomotiven.

Frustration with order faxed to Brandbright

Four weeks ago I faxed an order to Brandbright in the
UK. I used the fax number stated on their web site
(Fax: +44 1263 588424) and can only assume that they
have received it.

Following their note ("Despatch is usually in a few
days but if despatch is not possible within two weeks
then we shall advise you."), I started trying to
contact them by email and phone, but to no avail.

Brandbright seems not to answer any e-mails at all;
the note "We are experiencing temporary technical
difficulties with our E-mail system at the present
time so please fax, phone or write" is displayed now
for over one year on their web site.

It is impossible to speak to some of Brandbright on
the phone. A recorded message says that they limited
the hours they are answering the phone from Monday to
Friday from 02.30 to 05.00 pm British time. I try to
call from Eastern Canada in exactly this short time
frame, but either it is busy or another recorded
message asks to call back after Friday. I am not sure
what they mean by "after Friday"; I can guess it means
"never".

Does anyone has more positive experience with
Brandbright to get an order filled? If yes, please
advise me what I need to do.

Does anyone from the British list members may be pass
by at Brandbright in person and could inquire on my
behalf on the status of my order?

Since it is next to impossible to contact them, it
will be difficult to cancel my order?!

Where could I get the metal hook and loop couplers
(LGB type), a few magazines and scratch building parts
from? 

I am no longer fond of supporting dinosaur business
practices with my money.
