 Hi,

The Mikado Axle Pump kit has been a real treat so far.

I am trying to get the screws off the eccentric rod assembly. Mine seem
like they used the serious threadlocker and they won't come off. Did
anyone else have this problem? If so, how did you remove the screws?

 Thanks and stop laughing

Hi,

Ok, I got the screws out after putting the eccentric rod assembly into a
vice. It's just a bad omen and I am not looking forward to connecting
the check valve to the bypass valve with the water pipe.

Try some heat; A propane torch should help. DO NOT get carried away. Just a
little. And the obvious is to make sure the screw driver really fits.

Eric,

Thanks, I tried that as I recalled a suggestion from a previous post
here before throwing in the towel. I got them out finally and I am
getting new screws to wrap up the kit. This whole kit was an adventure
because it was retrofitted. For the most part, I reviewed Walt's
previous posts on the kit and cleared up some other incongruencies with
Jerry Hyde since the written instructions and diagrams were incomplete.

I am looking forward to the longer run times. To see it run again with
the pump kit will give me great satisfaction!
