The official start of rebuilding the Queen Mary Track will be the weekend of March 20-21. This new track is to replace the one that burned in October and will be an all steel construction. It will be similar in size to the old green track 30' x 46' with 15' radius and 16' straight sections. A work party will be getting together at my friend Roland Seavey's house in Calimesa to help with the construction. These people are from the MLS board and for the most part don't have any steam engines. They just want to see the success of live steam at the the QM and elsewhere.
