Re: [Standards] UPDATED: XEP-0301 (In-Band Real Time Text)

Hi Mark,

Thanks for working so diligently to incorporate the mass of feedback you
received recently. Given the scope of the changes, you might want to
give folks more than just a few days to provide feedback before pushing
out 0.4 (perhaps a week from now?). I know I plan to review it again
this week.

Regarding www.xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0301.html

There were so many comments and suggestions that I decided a 0.3 interim
was useful. I intend to publish a 0.4 in the next few days, hopefully just
minor corrections, and possibly an extra usage example or two added. I
will then request LAST CALL.

Comments and suggestions?
Did your concern get addressed?
Any issues that I missed?
Any areas that you would like to see clarified or improved?

Thanks

[Standards] XEP-0016: managing default privacy list with multiple connected resources

2012-07-07 Thread Andrew Biggs

Hi there,

I was wondering if someone might be able to tell me how a server should
respond to the following case:

(0) Start with no active connections for f...@acme.com.
(1) A client connects as f...@acme.com/a.
(2) Via f...@acme.com/a, client declines the default privacy list, as in
example 20 of XEP-0016.

(3) A second client connects, as f...@acme.com/b.
(4) Via f...@acme.com/a, client creates a privacy list, and attempts to
set it as the default, as in example 18.

Question: should step (4) result in a ?

It seems like examples 18 and 22 of the XEP could be extrapolated to
suggest that this case would also result in a , but I wanted
to get others' thoughts and see if I might just be missing something.

Cheers,
Andrew
