[Standards] Please consider advancing Compliance Suites 2019

2019-01-11 Thread Sam Whited
Hi,

It's 2019 now, and we're back in the situation of having two compliance suites
published, where the one that appears to be recommended doesn't seem to be
current. This is a very confusing situation.

Please consider advancing the 2019 suites.

Re: [Standards] XEP-0288 - Bidi - Maybe CFE?

Hi folks,

I'm thinking of asking the Editor to issue a Call For Experience on
XEP-0288.

I would do so now, but I'm not entirely sure who actually implements it.

So, who does implement it? (And is your implementation open source)?

I did, a long time ago in psyced. Its opensource but hasn't changed in
ages. I still use it and it continues to work -- even though i seem to
have had quite some issues with Dave's server at times.

Its still useful, I always considered one-way s2s a bug caused by weak
(or lacking) authentication mechanism in the initial design.

Thanks, I've added this as #733: https://github.com/xsf/xeps/issues/733

[Standards] [XEP-0335] Request for Last Call

2019-01-11 Thread Matthew Wild
Dear Council,

I would like to request that XEP-0335 be considered for Last Call. It
is a fairly small XEP that has implementations in the wild and
deserves to advance in my opinion.

Regards,
Matthew
