Georg votes +1 on Content Rating Labels. 6) Date of Next 2021-03-31 1500 UTC [Note the time change, as Europe will be on DST, technically making the meeting time one hour earlier for those outside of the change (thus back to 'normal' for those who changed earlier.)] 7) AOB Georg mentions the suggestion raised earlier [1] in the XSF MUC, that XEP-0013 (Flexible Offline Message Retrieval) might be deprecated and/or replaced [with a tiny XEP to cover offline message purging], given the prevalence of XEP-0313 (Message Archive Management) - Jonas thinks this discussion may have happened before - Georg thinks it was discussed repeatedly, with the conclusion of handling it in XEP-0386 (Bind 2.0) at the next summit (a suggestion repeated every year since 2015.) Kev notes that XEP-0386 does already cover clearing offline messages in the presence of MAM - Jonas suggests that a few Bind 2.0 implementations could help to iron out the edge cases, which would solve a number of things that really need solving - Zash mutters something about SASL2, IBR2, and AllTheThings2 - Jonas agrees this should ultimately result in XMPP 2.0 (Zimpy Reloaded). Dave notes that usage of (something akin to) XEP-0430 (Inbox) appears to have obviated the need for offline messaging. Jonas suggests that a new RFC might be appropriate - Daniel would like to make it RESTful - Georg wonders whether the tribal knowledge of the RFC-writing elders has been lost. Sam, who raised the point earlier, would like this to be discussed properly next week as he believes there is real harm in recommending a spec which has significant overlap with MAM just for one tiny feature, and little harm in deprecating it.
