Hi, XEP-0124 defines a way for maintaining bi-directional streams over HTTP. It can be any stream, not just XMPP. XEP-0206 advises how to use XEP-0124 for streaming XML streams that are in use in XMPP. Thanks. Once upon a time we thought that we might standardize BOSH / XEP-0124 at the IETF (this was way before WebSocket), so we made it more generic and defined an XMPP profile of it in XEP-0206.
