[www.niftyviews.com:23339] HCL Tech-Why The Last Day Of The Qtr For A Profit Warning?...www.capitalmind.in

2015-09-30 Thread Rajiv Handa
HCL Tech has announced a profit warning:

To summarize:

   - Revenue growth will be bad
   - Due to currency issues, their USD earnings are going to be down 80bps.
But who cares about USD earnings – we should care about rupee earnings,
which at 66 to the USD is juicy right? Right?
   - One customer – a fairly rich one, apparently – is leaving. They are in
the “process of disengagement” which is pretty cool lingo to use if you’ve
been fired. (You’re being disengaged from the company. Now go.)
   - And then, there is a “*skewness in revenue growth due to transition
timelines for complex engagements especially in infrastructure services*“.
My head is spinning. Or, my cranial vortex is exhibiting centrifugal
motion. (I could get a job writing press releases)
   - And that is pretty darn good English if you ask me. Not that it gets
the message across but perhaps that was an intended consequence.

The last point is likely to be related to the inflection point in IT that we’ve
mentioned earlier

–
that the cloud is reshaping the concept of infrastructure services, by
offering things productized at a fraction of the cost.

Yesterday BNF under performed broader market to some extent due to
concern of NIM for rate cut transmissions by banks. On an average so far
Banks has transmit nearly 70 bps against 120 bps cut by RBI. Also due to
equity infusion in PSBS, there is some possibility of EPS dilution in
Banks, unless, supported by incrementally higher income.

By Apr'16, we may see nearly 90% transmission by banks.

Going forward, various proactive reform initiatives by the Govt after
"Rajan done his job" may help our market. Power sector reforms and
starting of stalled projects will help to generate significant cash flow
which in turn, will reduce the huge NPA associated with that sector too.

Globally, after overnight US market rally amid "No Shutdown" and some
dovish comments of FOMC members and China's improved PMI data may also
help today.

*Above 8050, NF may scale 8125-8200-8355 in the near term. *

[www.niftyviews.com:23336] Novartis-GSK Global Deal Concludes

2015-09-30 Thread Rajiv Handa
With reference to the earlier letter dated February 12, 2015 regarding GSK
and Novartis deal, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd has now informed BSE
that the Company has completed its transaction with Novartis Healthcare
Pvt. Ltd. (‘Novartis India’) on September 30, 2015 whereby the Company has
acquired Novartis’ vaccines business and divested its marketed oncology
portfolio to Novartis India.

This follows a global transaction between GlaxoSmithKline plc, UK(GSK) and
Novartis AG, Switzerland (Novartis) which was completed in March 2015 on
the same basis.

The acquisition of the vaccines business of Novartis provides GSK with an
exciting opportunity to build an even stronger, sustainable global vaccines
business. The transaction will enhance GSK’s vaccines portfolio and bring
together its expertise in virology, bacterial infection and technological
platforms to deliver a reliable supply of high quality vaccines.
