[Sugar-devel] Turtle Art-70 on SoaS3-200909271154.iso
Hi all, In Turtle Art-70 running on the SoaS3-200909271154.iso, the help messages don't display well when there is a 2nd line for longer strings. Another issue is the incomplete localization in this configuration: some strings (especially in the left panel in TA) remain in EN, even after selecting another locale (e.g. FR) from the configuration panel. I didn't notice this issue with sugar-jhbuild (0.84.7). Best regards, Samy ___ Sugar-devel mailing list Sugar-devel@lists.sugarlabs.org http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/sugar-devel
[Sugar-devel] [SoaS] New Sugar on a Stick Snapshot Available
After some days of silence, the beast returns [1]. Actually, there's a new true SoaS snapshot ready for you, awaiting testing eagerly. It's available for download from here: http://download.sugarlabs.org/soas/snapshots/3/SoaS3-200909271154.iso Note the increased file size, which is the trade-off for a much faster first-time boot process. We're also now shipping a more recent Sugar environment than before; but packaging of 0.86 is still in the works. You'll probably (in case your machine supports KMS) also notice the new, shiny boot screen for Blueberry. Thanks Gary for the artwork! You might need a new version of the livecd-iso-to-disk script, too. For your convenience, you can now grab always the latest version from Fedora's GIT through this link: http://bit.ly/livecd-iso-to-disk Additionally, you'll need to adjust the script's arguments to get a working USB key. Please DON'T use the --home-size-mb parameter anymore. An example call of the script might look like this (unless removing the parameters, it will reformat your USB key; data loss included!): ./tools_livecd-iso-to-disk.sh --format --reset-mbr --overlay-size-mb 400 --delete-home --extra-kernel-args selinux=0 ./SoaS3-200909271154.iso /dev/sdb1 Please take care of adjusting the overlay size and USB device location yourself! Make also sure to add the extra kernel arguments like above, too. Otherwise, you'll be left with a non-working solution. This is only a temporary issue, though, and will most likely be fixed later. Report all issues you encounter at our bugtracker [2] and feel free to join and introduce yourself on the SoaS mailing list [3]. Next steps are to solve the confusion created by the different release numbers spreading around and publishing XO builds at the same time (thanks to Martin Dengler for his great work here!). [Sugar-devel] Problem with Soas 0913
Hi, I suppose that this mail need to be forward to the right guy, please do it. I check the latest Soas (20090913 IIRC) and not work. There is 2 problem: the /home/liveuser cannot be created and the Activity directory is not copied from squashfs to the /home/liveuser directory. If I run in VirtualBox like CDRom I have no problem because the home.img is missing and the readonly home ins squashfs is used.
