[Sugar-devel] Fwd: Fedora 21 Final Release Candidate 5 (RC5) Available Now!
Hi All, SoaS 21 RC5 is out (for about 8 hours) and looks like it might be GA. Please test Peter -- Forwarded message -- From: Adam Williamson adamw...@fedoraproject.org Date: Thu, Dec 4, 2014 at 2:33 AM Subject: Fedora 21 Final Release Candidate 5 (RC5) Available Now! To: test-annou...@lists.fedoraproject.org, desk...@lists.fedoraproject.org, ser...@lists.fedoraproject.org, cl...@lists.fedoraproject.org, k...@lists.fedoraproject.org, x...@lists.fedoraproject.org, l...@lists.fedoraproject.org NOTE: Signing of the RC5 checksums is not yet complete. To be sure we're testing the right bits we should remember to check that the images we test match the signed checksum files once they're available, and of course you can carefully check the TLS certificate of the server when downloading the images. fedup tests may require the --nogpgcheck parameter until the signed .treeinfo file is available. releng will update and close the trac ticket when signing is complete. As per the Fedora 21 schedule [1], Fedora 21 Final Release Candidate 5 (RC5) is now available for testing. The difference between RC5 and RC4 is that the changes to python-blivet and pyparted that were introduced in RC1 to fix bug #1166598 have been reverted, as they were found to cause more serious problems than they fixed. As this change affects the installer, all installation validation tests should be run again. Existing RC4 test results for post-installation tests will be considered valid and transferred into the RC5 result pages; from now on, please do all testing with RC5 images. Please see the following pages for download links (including delta ISOs) and testing instructions. Normally dl.fedoraproject.org should provide the fastest download, but download-ib01.fedoraproject.org is available as a mirror (with an approximately 1 hour lag) in case of trouble. To use it, just replace dl with download-ib01 in the download URL. Sorry I'm not in position to download another .iso now. I saw it for first time last night, and it persisted after upgrade. I guess I could try again in about 10 hours. Sorry I can't do more. [Sugar-devel] Push to master in sugar/sugar-toolkit-gtk3
To the participants in the GCI contest: Please don't push changes to the repositories. Wait for review and discussion. Is true some of the participants have rights to push in the repositories, but to keep the transparency, would be good if you avoid doing reviews while the contest is running. I have reverted the changes pushed by these pr: https://github.com/sugarlabs/sugar-toolkit-gtk3/pull/173 https://github.com/sugarlabs/sugar/pull/419 The changes implemented are not a good solution, and the pr were pushed minutes after the pr was sent, without giving us time to review. Please take a little of time for every task, even discussing the right solution for every problem. If not, that code will be never merged and used by the project. Is better have less task with good quality and not a lot of garbage. The idea of the contest is have a opportunity to participate and to learn. If is only a race, I don't see too much value. -- Gonzalo Odiard SugarLabs - Software for children learning ___ Sugar-devel mailing list Sugar-devel@lists.sugarlabs.org http://lists.sugarlabs.org/listinfo/sugar-devel

Using this image: Fedora-Live-SoaS-i686-21-5.iso2014-12-03 21:05 713M simply dd to a USB stick. I see that background has been improved, thank you. However a timer (waiting) is presented with the cursor, and not all images in ~/Documents seem to be available to load as background, at least on the LiveOS media. Iain.
