[Sugar-devel] GCI 2018 update

2018-12-07 Thread Anmol Mishra
Sorry, I will be busy during the meeting for today's meeting. I would like
to thank Walter and Ibiam for making me a mentor, it's been a great
experience for me. I made mistakes but Walter and ibiam kept me showing the
required path. As per the update, I tried my best to give feedback to
students as soon as possible and kept myself busy with fewer mentors count
task. In total, I have interacted with 45 different tasks.

[Sugar-devel] #sugar spam messages

2018-08-23 Thread Anmol Mishra
It is apparent from recent spams that some of the changes are required at
#sugar and #sugar-meeting. Is there any solution under consideration?

[Sugar-devel] Trouble installing sugar

2018-08-09 Thread Anmol Mishra
I know this will be tedious but please read.
Hello,
In the recent events of constant dirty commits, I am following the
mentioned method to install sugar by hand.
-> installed Ubuntu 16
-> cloned sugar-artwork, sugar-datastore, sugar-toolkit-gtk3, sugar from
Pro-Panda forks and switched to `python3-port` branches in each of them.
-> ran "build-dep command mentioned in the suagr-docs" and everything is
installed very correctly here. (earlier there was issue here because it was
downloading from servers for India, I changed to Main server so changed it
from *software-properties-gtk)*
-> now I installed each of repo by first running "sudo ./autogen.sh"
followed by "sudo ./configure" followed by "sudo make" followed by "sudo
make install".
-> Every command runs perfectly without any error. I clone the terminal and
browse activity mentioned.
-> run the rdesktop method but everything is stalled here.

(Consider me a noob, mention exact command that to be followed right from
starting to having a sugar running"
(sugar repo's python3 port branch is still installing for python2.7)

[Sugar-devel] sugar-toolkit-gtk3 [port-in-progress]

2018-07-20 Thread Anmol Mishra
Hello,
These are the logs while installing fork for sugar-toolkit-gtk3. If anyone
can help, I'll be obliged. This is the link to log when I install toolkit
from Pro-panda fork, My system already has the packages, for example alsa
has been installed and then in the step when we run shell script, there
missing package still persists, I already have installed the sugar-artwork
and sugar-datastore without any inconvenience.

[Sugar-devel] Sugar toolkit

2018-06-27 Thread Anmol Mishra
Hello,
I am Anmol and I am trying to finish port our sugar-toolkit to python3, Now
while porting, We need our toolkit needs to be installed for highest python
version available in system i.e Python2 or Python3. I have a strategy to
deal with it, As far as we know, on every bistro, python3 is installed in
the exact same directory therefore I can write a bash script which checks
for the exit status of the last command that was executed and based on
that, configure.ac with PYTHON=python2 or PYTHON=python3 in configure.ac.
We can check this in autopen.sh.
I tried contacting auto tool GNU mailing list but they don't seem to
respond, Do you support my method or is there any better alternative
