Ok i will install ubuntu package version. Thank you.

You're right, helping for existing activities is a good idea. I'm not
telling that for sure i will be able to do it, but i can try : where can I
learn what is needed ?

If you want develop activities, probably is ok install sugar packages in
 ubuntu.
If you want work at lower levels, would be better install Fedora.
The best reference to create activities is Make your own Sugar
 Activities
 http://en.flossmanuals.net/make-your-own-sugar-activities/
Also, if you want start helping with development of already existing
activities, there are a lot of work to do.

 Hello everyone,

I have a laptop computer that can run both windows 7 and ubuntu linux. My
 question is :

- what is the best way to be prepeared to develop in linux, as it is
the best paltform for programming ?
- Should i install sugar ubuntu package ? Should i use Fedora instead
?

And also, what are the best internet references (online or pdf) in order
 to develop in Sugar ?

(I've already written for Sugar, but I had difficulties for environement,
git, and did not understand all things about pottle).

 Regards ?

Ok, thank you. I'll look activities tickets in order to see if I am able to
contribute.
But I must also learn about tickets system : I've never used it before.

Who must I contact If ever I am able to contribute ?

2011/12/2 Gonzalo Odiard gonz...@laptop.org

You can select your favorite activity and look at the already filled
 tickets
I use this page to look at the filled tickets in both trakers (sugarlabs
 and olpc)
