[Sugar-devel] Journal behaviour on ext disk: what is sl#1262 about?

Hi Aleksey, all,

I am trying to improve some Journal behaviours re external disks, so
trying to understand the logic.

Looking at git, dsd recently backported the fix for sl#1262 to 0.84.
What is it supposed to do?

Well, 0.82 mostly did :-) Anyway, I have a few patches for that I am
working on right now.

 patch applied, 0.86 doesn't try to write metadata(like for regular
 Journal entries) thus doesn't fail.

Ah, I think I see: when you get to the 'describe' view, you cannot
edit the metadata fields.
