Hello,

I tried updateing Freenet to 5092 this morning.
After downloading the webinstaller with the update function, my
anti-virus program (McAfee Virusscan) says there is a
'Downloader-OG'-Virus in the file.

Probably you already had that virus on your computer and it
has infected the new file as you downloaded it or it is a false
positive by McAfee VS.

I have just downloaded these .exe files from
http://freenetproject.org/snapshots/:

NodeConfig.exe
MD5: 1602d4a8321c8bbe791b6cb4f494ad52

freenet-webinstall.exe
MD5: 3fd65bd853f855a1e6ec7ab9c633f4c6

freenet.exe
MD5: cfe98d427dc8a13d2aad5f82e946114e

I have checked them with my up to date version of Norton AV
and it has reported nothing in them. Check the MD5s to see if the
files you have have been modified in any way (a nice MD5 tool for
Windows can be downloaded from here: http://winmd5sum.solidblue.biz/)

Kind regards.

I get lots of these in my log:

 Delete failed on bucket t356f9930

Is this something I should be worried about?

[freenet-support] Stable5092: illegal (low) report: -Infinity!

2004-08-29 Thread jer
Hi !

OS: Linux 2.6 (Slackware 10)
Java: SUN 1.4.2_04
freenet-ver: 5092
Network: NAT translated.

I've just set up a new freenet instance ( after a HD krash of my old, no
backup...) but now when it's running it fills up my log with the messages below
and no data is comming into my store.

Running netstat shows some SYN_SENT once in a while. And short times an
ESTABLISHED

The Node info page shows Rejecting incoming connections and requests! all the
time but no clue to why !?

It worked before the reinstall with the same versions of software (current
version of freenet at the time...). So I cant figure out what I've done wrong
this time !?!?!

My firewall is rejecting a lot of requests to the old port but my new
installation is running on a different port this time so as not to be misstaken
for the freenet installation that was lost with the krashed HD.

[freenet-support] 23 Gb log file

This morning I woke to find my disk was full. Eventually found it was due to
a 23 Gb (sic) freenet.log file. After freeing a few gigs I made 3 attempts to
read the file, but quickly gave up. So I can't speak to the contents, but I
wonder if it was the same error as jer_48

If it recurs I will try harder to read the log.
