Legal Help

2023-04-10 Thread Mario
Hello, I am involved in a legal case involving Freenet, specifically
involving the Levine method to identify downloaders which Freenet claims
has been discredited. I am interested in hiring a Freenet contributor if
possible to act as an expert witness. I understand that Mr. Steve Dougherty
was involved as an expert witness in a prior legal case and Dr. Arne
Babenhauserheide has since posted a rebuttal of the Levine method on his
website and on the Freenet project news page.
Since I have a scientific background, I have done extensive research myself
into the issue and have come up with a Matlab simulation of the routing
algorithm which reproduces results from two academic papers on Freenet and
I've modified the Freenet code to conduct an offline simulation of routing.
Both seem to disprove Levine's "even share" hypothesis. However, I do need
help in validating my work and moving forward with possible additional work
regarding the issue. Also, my word alone would be weak since I am not
involved in the Freenet project.
I understand that this is a public mailing list so I will provide
additional details (including discussion on compensation) in a private
space if anyone is interested in helping. Thank you.
