I have restarted two nodes (on seperate VM's) and both are unable to
load this plugin.

Some Logging:

I'm also seeing this logging line on both nodes

Well, I created a new VM with Freenet from scratch and that seems to load
the plugin.

Probably something went wrong on my two other nodes at the same time.
Tried one (faulty) node also with 1395 but still no loading.

I think I'm gonna re-create both VM's.

Bob,

Thank you for your answer but I decided to go with the binaries in
freenet-latest-tgz anyway.
These do work and that was my main concern, to get freenet running again.

[freenet-support] Compiling freenet on Linux

2005-10-07 Thread Peter Joosten
Hello,

After using Mika Hirvonen's rpm's for a while and noticing that his server
nightwatch.mine.nu no
longer exists I decided to use the source and compile freenet.

I uninstalled the rpm's from freenet and did just like mentioned on the website
in the download
section. I downloaded the latest stable version and the latest contrib source
and unpacked
both in the same parent directory. Then I typed 'ant distclean dist' , and got
a lot of error
messages in return.

I'll show you the last lines of the error output below:

---
[javac] /usr/src/fred/freenet/src/freenet/PeerHTMLRenderer.java:770: cannot
find symbol

I'm using Fedora Core 4 with kernel 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 #1.

Anybody any ideas?

If you're using Bash (which is most likely) you have to set PATH in the bash
profile file which is in you're home directory: .bash_profile . That user
will have this directory in PATH.

If you're using Red Hat you can also set PATH in the file rc.sysinit which you
can find in the directory /etc/rc.d (I don't know what that is for other
distributions), then PATH will contain this directory whenever you start the
system. You have to be root to edit the rc.sysinit file.

[freenet-support] I/O error in servlet

2002-10-19 Thread Peter Joosten
Ok, I'm getting lots of these messages in my log:

I/O error in servletjava.net.SocketException: Broken pipe

Is this normal? I mean I haven't got a clue. My guess it's related to Suns
Java.

I'm using Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM - version: 1.4.1_01-b01 on linux (kernel
2.4.19) with build 519.

Previously I used Java version 1.4.0_01-b01 which gave the same entries in the
log.

Although freenet works on my computer I'm just wondering if I can do something
to get rid of these messages.
