[freenet-support] Can't receive any data (5076)

Hi,

i went through my log and noticed that my fred
creates tons of such messages:

and the other message which also comes relatively
frequent:

Maybe this waited more than 5 minutes in
NIOIS.read() tcp/connection: could give a clue why my node can't receive (and
probably request, too) any data.
The build is fresh (fresh installed).
Symptoms: the browser begins requesting and stays
in the state of requesting. It seems that the data stream breaks on my node
somehow.
The system is also fresh reinstalled (3
hours)
WinXP no SPs.

Thanks in advance

[freenet-support] Freenet problems

2004-03-16 Thread no_dammagE

Hi,

i have still problems running freenet since several
builds.
When i mailed last time, i thought it was my
connection, but i found out that that was wrong.
My connection

ADSL 768/128
Network type:

TCP --- Router -- Moroz
Internet---|

The funny thing was that the computer tcp has no
problems with running freenet and the computer moroz can't retrieve any
data.

My System:
Athlon 1800+
256 DDR
NTFS Harddisk
WinXP Prof unpatched (i don't need patches since
i'm behind a strong firewall[routing freenet ports] and i don't use Outlook
 IE)
Java: 1.4.2_04-b05[Java HotSpot], but offline install, beta 1.5.0 etc dont
change anything.

Freenet version:5074, unstable versions have the same problem.

Today i disconnected the router and connected this
computer directly to the internet - i had the same problem, but when i did the
same with the second machine, it had no problems.

I reinstalled my windows recently, i had that
problem before and after the reinstall/reformat.

Other software I have currently runningare
MirandaIM and Netlimiter, I had the same problem before both apps were
installed.

Upgrading the VM didnt do anything ...
unfortunately.

Recently i got two such messages in the
log:

  ([EMAIL PROTECTED]: id=55213, keyOffset=0,
  length=4096, cb=null)

My IP is recognized without any problems, the port
is routed, too.
I always (really always) get DNF and 1-3 nodes
restarted. It doesn't matter if i increase the HTL.
Often I also get messages in the log that DataReply
came too late - 5 minutes elapsed.
Aaah, Netlimiter shows me proper traffic (even if
not high) - 4-5 KiBps up and down while requesting.
It seems that my nodes does something wrong with
the received data...or the data stream dies somewhere in my node.
I never saw transmitting icons in my connections
list ... i have always 40 connections open, several outgoing, but never
transmitting data, only messages, as i see.
My failure table is filled in several
minutes.
My seednodes are fresh - those seednodes work also
without any problems on the node on the other PC and the other PC can request
freesites in seconds.

If someone has a clue, please, reply. Again, it is
not a connection problem, it seems to be an OS/Fred problem.
If someone wants, i can post the whole log file,
too.

Have a nice day and thank you in
advance!

Re: [freenet-support] SBC DSL - pppoe NAT - freenet node

2004-03-16 Thread no_dammagE

Well, to change your IP, you would have to be
disconnected, I think. When playing a game online, do you have problems ... well
... playing it ...
Or with some other kind of streaming
software?

It might be that your ISP changes the IP on
reconnect. Then check if your connection just disconnects all several minutes by
itself (maybe idle time set up etc???)

Good Luck

[freenet-support] Data transfer problem

2004-03-10 Thread no_dammagE

Hi, support team!
First of all, I would like to thank the whole
freenet team for developing Fred. I wish you good luck in the further
development :)

Now to the problem:

I have two computers - one with WinXP (old, needs a
reinstall) and an another with fresh win98. Both have the same JRE
version.
After the major freenet upgrade when the handshake
protocol has been changed (2 months ago?) i noticed that i can't retrieve any
data on the winxp machine anymore while the win98 system has no
problems.

Of course, I upgraded and reseeded, but that
brought nothing. Also a full reinstall (i didnt touch the registry) didnt do
anything. Since that moment i have this problem.

The interesting thing is: both computers are
connected via the same router (ALLNet router) to the internet and use a DSL
connection.

While the Win98 machine has no problems retrieving
data in transient and permanent modes, the winXP machine is only able to get the
GPL - and that one only after long time.

The machine is active/incoming connections
possible- in DMZ Mode and Freenet ports as virtual server entered ... for
port forwarding ... although freenet worked permanent before the upgrade without
any such tweaks.

While running a node i get mass exceptions similar
to this:
