-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- First something quick
In the much debated confusion of the Web Interface and people thinking "Retrieve Freesite by URI" is a search box, now i'm sure this has been mentioned and i missed it but as soon as i first saw it i wondered why doesnt it say "Retrieve File by URI" to parallel the insertion box? It would seem to be the obvious. Anyway there must be a good reason it doesnt. Thot I'd try the web install for the triple 5 as suggested. I have a simple reuqest that when the installion fails, it couldnt get to freenet.soureforge.net/snapshots for some reason, and asks if you want to backoff the installation, it only remove files that it actually put there. Maybe a different approach to install, ie create temp dir for install files, download what it needs, verify whatever it has to, before writing to the live directory,,,,or something,,,u know where this is going. Bam 80 gig store wiped out on a node i notice was now in seedrefs, all because the coffee wasnt ready and i dont like the chair on the second system right next to me and just too damn slack too,,,, On the upside i was able to get the excelsior jet compiler to create a fully working node in C++, not on a live store mind you it would get an error on its elephant walk thru the data store Nov 5, 2002 5:06:06 AM (freenet.node.Main, main): Unexpected Exception: freenet.fs.dir.DirectoryException freenet.fs.dir.DirectoryException: list inconsistent The freenet log was open in an editor so i still got that, and critical files like the node id stuff and ini files yada yada,,, but like they say down south diayham -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: Hush 2.2 (Java) Note: This signature can be verified at https://www.hushtools.com/verify wlcEARECABcFAj3ILSwQHGthYm9vbUBodXNoLmNvbQAKCRB5zuO1YwPwCTsRAJ9Q6OqK HAGCPxe9JHpNOJjszLJP+wCgqRt29A3gkTi/CkvC16pqRcTivb0= =wudQ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Get your free encrypted email at https://www.hushmail.com _______________________________________________ support mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://hawk.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support
