I had a problem with similar symptoms a while back, Col.Steve Austin Ret., and one of the things I tried in fixing it was to rename the "node" file and restart Freenet. When it doesn't find the "node" file it will recreate it. If that doesn't work, delete the new "node" file and rename the original back to "node". If your routing table is corrupted, then do the same procedure to the routing table files. I'm not sure which of those are appropriate.
