Re: OpenMoko + Exchange

my question still stands... is there a reasonable method by which
to connect an OM device to an exchange server?

in all honesty, if there is, i'd run out and buy one tomorrow... :)

again, i am VERY green when it comes to linux, but is there a way to
package the Exchange connection add-on of Evolution to either Claws,
Openmoko Mail or Qtmail? or, is that idea much like re-inventing the
  wheel?

i need to be able to view/reply to emails within my inbox and the folders
inside, and also view/edit my calendar - all of this is hosted on an
 exchange server of course.

I use rdesktop to connect to a XP machine with Lookout. Due to the
resolution of the Freerunner this works pretty well.

The commands to connect to xp-workstation:

xrandr -o 1 # rotate screen
rdesktop -uUSER -pPASSWORD -z -xl -K -g640x450 xp-workstation
xrandr -o 0 # rotate screen

Maybe this helps.

Re: [android] strong echo with buzz-fixed A6

 I installed Koolu's Android Betra 7 on my recently buzz-fixed Freerunner A6.
 It
has the well known echo problem now. On the lists and forums I could find
 only
solutions (dbus commands) for other distros. However I hope similar settings
may help on Android too, just that I have no idea on how to apply them. :-)

Can anyone possibly drop me a hint?

Can you try lowering the mic gain to see if that helps?

With kind regards, Sander

Re: bye bye 2008.8, you wont be missed :(

I am afraid I am going to have to delete 2008.8 and forget it ever
existed. Despite very little of it working, I was giving it a go but I
just had a bug I raised on the keyboard closed with works for me
saying in effect they are only willing to work on the existing keyboard
and its working as designed, so there isnt a problem and no changes/new
keyboard alternatives are needed. Basicly learn to use it as is, as
this is all we are getting with 2008.8

As 2008.8 looks like it was an interim release until FSO is ready,
developers for the FR might like to look at the reasons this bug (#1778)
was closed and then consider bringing the FSO to a usable state faster.
It already has more functionality than 2008.8 as released. To me its
looking like 2008.8 is still born and wont be going anywhere fast, by
 the intention of the designers.

 disappointed :(

Hi,

I filed ticket https://docs.openmoko.org/trac/ticket/1795 to hopefully get the
existing keyboard at least a bit more usable than only for sending SMS..
