Is there a URL that can be geted regularly to restart apinger?

Try a recent snapshot where this should be fixed.

Tried the snapshot Tue Oct 6 06:41:28 UTC 2009, problem is still there.

so that seems not to be the point.

[pfSense Support] PPTP Server, when WAN is connected to PPTP pfsense v1.2.2

2009-10-07 Thread Knut Petter Ølberg
I tried looking through some threads, but could not find a definitive
answer. I'm connected to my ISP via PPTP on the WAN side. Is it still
possible for me with pfsense 1.2.2 to setup a PPTP server in to my
network? I tried setting it up quick and dirty, but was not able to
connect to the server, this could just as well be misconfiguration from
my side I guess. I guess my question is really if I should just abandon
this project?

Is the wan working properly? If using multiwan, PFsense will only
communicate with packages using the wan interface. Just a thought on a
place to check.

I use *1.2.3-RC2* built on Mon Aug 31 06:09:28 UTC 2009 with
loadbalancer-failover pool and can not see this problem.

[pfSense Support] CARP switchover to backup because of high traffic

2009-10-07 Thread Evgeny Yurchenko

Has anybody noticed this behavior?
The simplest set up: two pfSenses with LAN WAN and CARP on both
interfaces (with separate interface for SYNC).
When there is little traffic active pfSense sends CARP packets with
priority 0 every second, everything is ok.
Gradually increasing traffic you reach the point when active pfSense
starts sending CARP packets not regularily: 1.5, 2, 3 seconds and
finally stops sending them completely. Of course at this point backup
pfSense kicks in. When you remove traffic former active pfSense does not
restore its active role (does not any CARP packets).
