[pfSense Support] LOCKWARNING and LOCKERROR messages
Hello, Please advise how can I permanently stop this issue from happening. This occurs once or twice a month. And to fix it I have to clear the lock as suggested in this link: http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,8152.0.html Go to Diagnostics - Command in the web gui and run the following command. rm /var/run/captiveportal.lock I would appreciate if anyone has found a permanent solution on this and share it with me so as to prevent it from happening as it becomes nuisance. Is it a full install or an embedded install? What do the system resources look like at times when this is happening? Are your CPU and memory pegged pretty hard? -Gary - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [pfSense Support] LOCKWARNING and LOCKERROR messages
Gary, I'm running PFSense 1.2-release and that was installed from LiveCD Installer (I guess that's full install). When it happens I never noticed CPU or memory usage goes up. Both stays normal. Usually the average utilization for both is less than 10%. I don't know exactly what's the usage when it begins to happen. I only noticed it after few or several hours or when users started to complain. /Arnel Gary Buckmaster wrote: Arnel B. If you don't use any packages or wireless cards on pfSense itself, 1.2.1 seems to be fine for production use. http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD7/RELENG_1_2/ Alternatively, this is the change mentioned in that forum thread, you can just edit this file and add this line as shown. http://cvstrac.pfsense.org/chngview?cn=21313 - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
