Hi, I'm a newb. of pfsense. I tried to install the pfSense-Embedded-0.82.2. on the Net4801 using a 256MB CF and I got the following output. It seems the CF is set as Primary. If I,instead, use a 128MB CF the appliance starts correctly. Tell me if I can give you some more debug. It's not a FreeBSD issue. The embedded images are set to boot from ad0 (primary ide hd). I get the VERY same message when trying the image on a Advantech FWA-3680. http://www.advantech.com.tw/products/Model_Detail.asp?model_id=1-U89SJ&BU=NCG&PD= or http://partner.advantech.com.tw/epartner/Files/Temp/1-BS37P-3.pdf The problem I have w/ the Advantech appliance is that there is no way of changing the CF slot to primary, as on this platform there are several options in the BIOS for booting and as far as I can tell they are all static. You can certainly choose what the preferred boot device is but when choosing HDD-0, HDD-1, HDD-2, HDD-4 I get the same results as the booting error below. I have even tried to boot manually after autobooting fails w/ a command ufs:/dev/ad1a, ufs:/dev/ad2a and soo on, but to no avail. Anyone experienced w/ Advantech products? I can provide screen shoots of the BIOS config screens if you like. P.S. I DO NOT have the original documentation to the unit as it was a left over from previous lab mantainer.
