pidgin development support - what method is called initially when account disconnect tick box is unticked

2009-10-01 Thread evanescent
Hi,
I am trying to implement a plugin for pidgin.
So here I am asking help with pidgin source code.
As I am not familiar with C language I could not find what I wanted even I
had a try.

Could somebody please tell me what method is called when untick enabled
tick box in pidgin.
you may find the tick box at along the menus Account-> Manage Account.
i.e the tick box is that we use to connect and disconnect accounts.
I know that when we tick/untick it the call comes to _close method
in protocol implementation class.
what i need is what is method initially called when untick befor it comes to
this close method.

thanks.

pidgin on EeePC

2009-10-01 Thread Mario Pavesi
I have an Asus EeePC 2G Surf which had Pidgin already installed when I bought
it. I have used your software with full satisfaction until now, when the
problem with the new Yahoo Messenger protocol arose. I understand there is a
new Pidgin 2.6.0 that cures the problem, but - how can I install it on my
EeePC? There is no update on the Add/RemoveSoftware page of the PC (in fact,
there is no longer anything there). Nor did I find a Linux version in your
website (provided I were able to install it anyway...)
Thanks,
Mario Pavesi___

best way to copy a compiled pidgin to another netbook?

2009-10-01 Thread Matthias Apitz

Hello,

I've compiled pidgin-2.6.2 on my FreeBSD 8-CURRENT laptop and want to
install it as well on my netbook EeePC 900 which runs the same OS
version. But this is to slow to compile such big stuff on it...

Is there some way to make a distribution of the compiled workspace and
move it as a tar ball to the EeePC for installation? Thanks in advance
for any hint.

Logging into one account/Checking logged in status

2009-10-01 Thread Jon Donato
I'd like to log into one account only, and I'd like to see if a account
is showing up as logged in. The status currently says "invisible" for
what I assume to be a global status setting, but a friend is messaging
me on my WLM account [using the MSN-pecan plugin to use the WLM extras
with my friends]
