Text Formatting with Groupwise Messenger protocol
We are trying to use Pidgin to allows us to chat with Groupwise messenger users - however it seems that text formatting has been disabled for this protocol. When in a chat window I should be able to click on font and change to bold, italics, etc. but every option is grayed out. I have also tried the ctrl+b method and this not work either. Can anyone give any insight into whether or not text formatting for the groupwise protocol works and if so how to go about enabling it? Thanks again. ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? Use this link: http://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support
Pidgin Startup
Hello, Please forgive me if the answer is obvious, but I've looked and looked (searched the net, read the FAQ) and tried a few things and I cannot make this happen. I run: Windows XP Pro SP 3 Pidgin 2.6.3 Everything works great, but when the application starts, it doesn't "show buddy list". It starts minimized in the tray. I would like the window to open on top until I say minimize. I've tried downloading the Extended prefs but even that doesn't remember if I left it on top or not. So the question is: does it do this? Am I missing a check-box somewhere? do I need to submit a help ticket? Feature Request? Thanks for your time. Love the product. Any Help is appreciated. Best, ECZ -- Edward C. Have a look at the buddy list options plugins. There is an option for start up state in that. You will need the Pidgin plugin pack if you don't have it. -- Brian Morrison "I am not young enough to know everything" Oscar Wilde ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? Pidgin Support
Hi is there a plugin so that I can view the message the person is sending me in the bottom right hand corner of my screen like Pidgin (and maybe AIM) does? I want to be able to see what my buddy list people say before I even click the IM. Sincerely, Mathew C. Gajewski ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? There are two possible plugins you can use, Pidgin-libnotify (only available on *nix) and Guifications (available on all platforms, AFAIK; certainly windows). Sincerely, Mathew C.
