Pidgin installation
Hello, I'm an Oracle employee and have installed Pidgin on my laptopt Dell. Now as I have also an Ipad I'd like to install this chat as well, but connecting to your site and trying to downloaded it, it fails. Have no clue why. Can you kindly give me some advise on what I have exactly to download for Ipad and where. Problem with Pidgin buddy icon
Hi, I'm hoping you can help. My friend on MSN has changed her buddy icon but it still hasn't changed in Pidgin. Is there a way to force it to refresh, or better still is it a problem that needs resolving? I'm running version 2.7.9 Many thanks Tim Bairstow ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? Don't iPad apps have to come via the app store, unless you have a jailbroken iPad? Trouble enabling account after installing pidgin
We are installing Pidgin 2.79. It appears to install fine but after we create an account and enable it the account is not really enabled. We tried several ways to enable the account but nothing ever registers. We are running it on a Dell 6400 laptop running Windows 7 service pack 2. We have installed libraryh3lp.dll in the pidgin plugin folder; made sure the security permissions were set for all users Kathleen E. RE: Trouble enabling account after installing pidgin
Installing Pidgin on Windows 7 Once the software was installed, we received a window Welcome to Pdigin ; we clicked add and used the following configuration : 1) Protocol: Chose XMPP from the dropdown List Username: vu_firstname_lastname (all lowercase) Domain: libraryh3lp.com 2) The password is *. Check the Remember Password box.. 3) Click Add. 4) An Accounts window opened up and we checked on the Enabled box; then hit Close. If we go back it not Accounts window -- it tell us the user is not enabled Kathleen E. pigdin 2.7.9. issues
Hello, I'm a Gadu-Gadu protocol user in Pidgin is 32bit MS enviroment! The app was a really nice and simple, but it change in the version 2.7.9. In this version of Pigdin I've noticed some problems. First of all - I cannot change themes easilly like I used to do with old GTK Theme Selector (hope you bring this option back in new version!). No offence, but traditional look is just crappy and a plugin editor by Sadrul Habib Chowdhury is just poor... Second of all, in GG Protocol function Show/Download information (about friend/contact) isn't working right. It's just downloading info all the time and nothing happends... Waiting for some changes in 2.8.0, because Pidgin is an app with potential :) Cheers! karel ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? Re: Proxy for Gadu-Gadu
In what way exactly is pidgin not working with your proxy? Does it not connect? What does the Help-Debug Window say when it doesn't work? What sort of proxy are you using? Do you have it set up in pidgin correctly? -Etan ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? Use this link: http://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/support
Re: get buddy list from Sametime server?
On Sat, Jan 15, 2011 at 12:07:40AM +, Victor Reiner wrote: I can arrange access to a server if someone is interested in helping out. Even if someone can just look at the existing code and tell me if the feature exists or not, that would at least tell me if I'm barking up the wrong tree or not. Thank you! -=Victor=- I believe this used to be an option that was controllable in pidgin but that got lost during a policy change on where protocols can expose options and has never been fixed (because the Sametime support is unmaintained). If you check your ~/.purple/prefs.xml file you should find a /plugins/prpl/meanwhile/blist_action preference (each part of that 'path' is a nested tag, search for blist_action and you should find what you need). That pref is likely set to 1 by default (which corresponds to 'local only') if you change it to 2 you may get what you want (that's 'merge from server'). You may also want to try 3 (merge from and save to server) or 4 (sync with server). I don't know what they all do exactly and can't tell you much more than that they are there, hopefully one of them does what you need. Access to a Sametime server would most likely be useful but I'm not sure we currently have anyone in a position to make use of it to any real effect. Patches are always welcome however. It should be pointed out that the actual protocol implementation is the meanwhile library and that pidgin simply uses that so any protocol level changes would need to be made there. -Etan ___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe?
