You need to talk to the Oracle IT staff internally, and please ask them
to stop Oracle staff coming to this support list for help with problems
we cannot assist you with.

To the OP: Please watch what you are saying (and sending out of
Oracle.com); Pidgin is a client which connects to your configured
message services providers (like MSN, Yahoo, ...); saying 'I am unable to
connect to pidgin' is technically nonsense, because Pidgin is not a server
or service; or do you mean 'I am unable to connect my fingers or eyes to
the Pidgin client application'?

How do you connect to pidgin? Do you mean the web site?

Re: unable to conect to pidgin

2012-11-19 Thread Tres Finocchiaro
Oracle uses their own IM server, which is why the Pidgin mailing list
cannot help.

It would be nice if Oracle tech support could provide this mailing list a
public URL we could send these email requests to, or a Oracle tech support
email to forward them to.

google talk state error

2012-11-19 Thread Róbert Molnár
Hi all!

I found small bug in Pidgin (windows version 2.10.6)

Account : google talk (show XMPP icon)

If I set my state invisible in Pidgin, this is not working, I see this
on gmail website.

Available, busy, do not disturb is working.

This is not a bug. XMPP has no effective standard invisible status.
The only reason you see invisible as an option is that you are *also*
signed on to some protocol that does. When you change to invisible,
that protocol will become invisible while XMPP remains unchanged.
