You'll have to ask Oracle.

As far as I know, no regular on this list has any knowledge of or access to
Oracle's internal systems.

Hi David,

Thank you for getting back to me. I didn't make it clear and when I stated
pidgin I meant the beehive oracle app that you are able to instant message
employees at Oracle. Is there an oracle tool that works similar to the oracle
beehive app?

As far as I know, Pidgin doesn't work with any phone, as phones don't support
the GTK+ user interface library. I suspect you are, as seems common in Oracle,
confusing Pidgin with Oracle's internal IM service, and you were actually using
an application other than Pidgin to access that service.

You probably need to look for an XMPP client for iOS 11.

Pidgin works with the Linux based Openmoko Freerunner GTA-02.

Pidgin on iPhone

2018-01-02 Thread Maribel Navos
Hi,

Quick question, since I've updated my iPhone 7 to iOS 11 my pidgin on my phone
does not work. It gives me this message: The developer of this app needs to
update it to work with iOS 11. Could you please tell me when we are able to
access pidgin through our iPhone?

Thank you,

Maribel

Im on Ubuntu and have not seen that problem.
Are you on Windows and if so, what version?
You might also post the version of pidgin you are using.

Window size

2018-01-02 Thread Ron Holland
I have researched this many times in the past and found no solutions. It is
a bug that should be fixed, otherwise this program becomes unusable.

When the IM window comes up, it gets progressively bigger each time. Even
if it is manually reduced in size, once closed and another IM comes in, it
is larger than it was the last time. Eventually it becomes unreadable and
of course no one wants a full-screen IM in the first place.

Any fix yet? I have clicked a box that says to maintain window size and
position to no avail. I have unclicked it, closed, clicked it, closed and
reopened and still the same problem.
