Pidgin problems.
Hello, Every time I go to start Pidgin, I immediately get a Pidgin has stopped working alert. I've rebooted a few times and still no luck. Last night I downloaded the latest version of Pidgin, hoping it would correct it... no help. I've used Pidgin on this computer for nearly a year without any problems and haven't made any major changes lately that would cause a conflict. How can I fix this without uninstalling and redownloading Pidgin again? I don't want to lose my settings, chat logs, etc. Thanks, I appreciate your help. PS: I can't find where on my computer the chat logs are stored. Since I can't load/run Pidgin, I can't locate them through it. Where are they stored on the computer? Thanks again. _ Hotmail: Trusted email with powerful SPAM protection. http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/210850553/direct/01/___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe? RE: Pidgin problems.
Pidgin has stopped working. Windows is searching for a solution to the problem... I attached the screen caps of what it tells me. Also, I don't have a Documents and Settings folder, just Documents and they're not in there. Thanks... RE: Pidgin problems.
Thanks for trying to help. I even uninstalled/downloaded it again and it still wouldn't work... until I restored the system to the 9th: before updates were installed for both Windows and AVS. So, it was one of their updates that screwed it up. Date: Tue, 16 Mar 2010 14:13:37 -0700 From: darkrai...@pidgin.im To: soulquench...@hotmail.com CC: support@pidgin.im Subject: Re: Pidgin problems. Reinstalling does not impact your settings (which are stored in the %APPDATA%\.purple folder on Windows). In any event, reinstalling without wiping out your settings is not likely to resolve the crash. Follow the directions at http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/TipsForBugReports#WindowsUsers to get a crash report and send that back; it will provide more information about why Pidgin is crashing. ~Paul _ Hotmail: Trusted email with Microsoft’s powerful SPAM protection. http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/210850552/direct/01/___ Support@pidgin.im mailing list Want to unsubscribe?
