Connect Kopete throughout a proxy (or tunneling by http)
Hello guys, I am in an university residence and all internet goes trought a proxy. But if I try to use Pidgin it says that there an error in the connection. How can I do for use Pidgin behind a proxy? I am using Opensuse 11.2 and Firefox, Amarok, etc work well, but pidgin don't Moreover once I read that exist a program called proxychain which can tunelling connection throught http? Yes I did that but I think that the ports for IM are blocked. Any idea?? Michael Solís snip If the ports for IM are blocked then you'll have to get in touch with the Universities network administrator and make a case for unblocking them.
