I'm not sure how it works on Windows, but on a Mac, when I close the

leave the program open, it doesn't.

I just checked on XP, Save and Quit is an option ther as well.

Check the Preferences Dialog, under BrwoserTabbed Browsing, and ensure
that the box for Warn me when closing a window with multiple tabs is
checked.

What if there are no tabs and only one web site loaded. I want to be

The acid tests focus on how a browser reads and renders Web pages. The
tests do not exercise user interface items such as menus, toolbars, or
themes. They also do not exercise such managers as bookmarks,
preferences, cookies, ad-ons, and passwords. Since the tests require a
vanilla configuration, no extensions are allowed to assist a browser
during a test.

The page-rendering tasks for Mozilla-based browsers are performed by the
Gecko core. Since SeaMonkey 2.0 and Firefox 3.5 use the same Gecko, any
failure of an acid test by one of these browsers indicates the same
failure by the other.

The reason that secnews was configured as SSL was so it could be used as
a test base for Netscape's Corporate Enterprise customers. That's the
only reason BTW. Port 563 users can see all ports but port 119 users
cannot see the 563 groups.

Interesting. Is that still even used? Isn't Netscape dead?
Netscape may be officially but the server lives on we still have the
NTTM newsgroups still running.

This is an obvious case of faulty browser sniffing.

When I go there with SM 2, I get a three-line display:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'
Type mismatch: 'CDbl'
/Frameworks\Classes\Browser.cls, line 134

When I go there spoofing Firefox 3.5.3, the page displays.

This is bug #419907, submitted almost two years ago (27 Feb 08) and
still not fixed. See
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419907.

If you (JAS) can view this site okay with SeaMonkey, you are likely
spoofing Firefox. If so, you are not helping to fix the problem because
the server logs for that site do not indicate attempts to access via
SeaMonkey.

Go to Mozdev at http://www.mozdev.org/ for quick access to
extensions for Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, and other
Mozilla-related applications. You can access Mozdev much
more quickly than you can Mozilla Add-Ons.

Simple or automatic way of saving bookmarks.html?

2009-11-27 Thread Richard Lane
Occasionally sm 1.1.9 performs an illegal operation and has to be
closed, when this happens my bookmarks.html file is reduced to 1kb i/o
140kb and the contents lost. Is there a way to preserve the contents of
this file with say a single stroke so that at worst only that day's
bookmarks are lost? The relevant file path seems to be:
C:\Documents and Settings\Richard Lane\Application
Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\3gzpjw8f.slt\bookmarks.html

Didn't work for me using SM 2.0 on a Mac...I tried turning JavaScript
off, and it still didn't work.

I have default cookies and JavaScript on, don't know what to tell you as
I am illiterate of Macs but I wish I had on along with my PC. What does
the site do for you?

JAS

It gives me this error -

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'CDbl'

/Frameworks\Classes\Browser.cls, line 134

Which is why I also tried it with JavaScript off - I find that sometimes
one can get around browser sniffers by not allowing Java to run, but not
in this case.

My earlier reply never came through. As Daved E. Ross pointed out, its
faulty browser sniffing. I spoofed as IE 6 on Win XP, and got right in
with SM 2.0 on Mac Snow Leopard.

Sending e-mail later in outbox in SM2.0...

2009-11-27 Thread Ant

Hi!

Does outbox always go in Local Folders? I use various e-mail accounts
and servers. I'd like to have it each account use their own outbox that
I send later. They all ended up in Local Folder's outbox. There are no
outbox settings I see in preferences and accounts to change this. I
didn't have this issue in v1.1.18.

Thank you in advance. :)
