From the drop-down menu, you will see the folder, "Personal Toolbar", at first
with no bookmarks in it - you will have to manually move them from the old Personal
Toolbar,
when inside the Bookmarks Manager.

If you right click on the new Personal Toolbar and select properties, it will show you
the name, "Bookmarks Menu", which cannot be changed. This should not be
confused with
the Bookmarks Menu shown in the Bookmarks Manager, which contains all of your
saved bookmarks.

If you select Manage Bookmarks from the drop-down menu, it will open the Bookmarks
Manager. From there, the new Personal Toolbar is called the "Bookmarks
Toolbar". This
cannot be changed either.

So, the new Personal Toolbar now has three names, depending on where you look.

Thanks for your reply. I finally got them sorted.

Strangely on my desktop I couldn't find any bookmarks in any of the Bookmarks Manager options and had to do a manual html install from previous version's profile, yet with
the laptop I was able to do exactly what you have suggested above, both successful.

Thanks again, I appreciate the support.

I have Deleted and OK,OK .. for all. Effectively the DigiNotrar
dissapeared of the list BUT after stopping and re-starting SM, the
entry is still present
Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20110608
Firefox/4.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.1
Windows 7 Pro 32 bits

Again, bring up the list of root certificates in the Certificate Manager
window (via [Edit> Preferences> Privacy& Security> Certificates]).
Select the certificate -- DigiNotar Root CA, not DigiNotar. Select the
Edit Trust button. All three checkboxes should be blank, which means
the certificate is not trusted and thus will not be used.

Thanks, David I see it worked for me now. :)

2.3.1. Problem displaying email headers in tabs

2011-09-02 Thread Rostyslaw Lewyckyj

SM 2.3.1 on Win 7.
I am trying compare possibly duplicate email messages by displaying them
in side by side tabs. Here in detail is what I am doing:
1) I open the folder containing the suspect messages X , Y
2) I set header display to normal
3) I flag and tag X, so that it will stand out when I display/read it
4) I highlight and open X to verify that the last header line shown
is Tags: and shows that the message is tagged. Then I close X
5) I do the same with Y, to verify that it is NOT tagged.
6)
  .0) Now I open X in a new tab,
.1) Go back to the message listing tab
  .2) highlight message Y
  .3) Open Y in a new tab.
But where has the Tags: line which marked message X to distinguish it
from message Y gone???
I tried setting the header display to all, but that doesn't halp at all.
The full header doesn't show a Tags: line.

Of course my real problem is to compare the messages.
So perhaps someone can suggest an easy, easier, way to do that.

How to get some assistance on "Child folders disappearing randomly" problem

2011-09-02 Thread Michael Lueck

Greetings,

What I have seen with SM since migrating from TB 2.x is that at times decedent children folders (some of them, not all of them) loose their children folders. No matter if the twisty is open / closed,
no children will be shown.

This problem can easily be masked by double clicking an account to open a
second mail window, and close the prior one. The new window always opens will
all descendant folders visible.

I did some research and this problem report sounds like what I am seeing:

[Bug 593519] Unable to expand a folder's subfolders without opening the folder
first in a new email window
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=593519

I am holding up migrating further TB users as all my TB folks have many many
nested folders.

How can I assist with getting some attention on this annoying bug?

Thanks!

Seamonkey doesn't remember screen layout?

2011-09-02 Thread Bob Henson

Another query, if I may? Seamonkey doesn't seem to remember the screen
layout when it is closed down. On restarting the panes have moved each
time. I use the vertical view and the message panes "shrink" back
towards the folder pane each time I restart the program. Is this the
normal behaviour?

Bob

Bad gateway?

2011-09-02 Thread d...@kd4e.com

I have a translation app at the top of my weather page.

I am suddenly receiving a "502 Bad Gateway" error instead of
the app.

Can anyone spot the problem, please?

This is what appears to be generating the error:

This is where the code came from:

Thanks for looking!

Views & Columns

2011-09-02 Thread Bob Henson
I'm just giving Seamonkey a try for the first time, and cannot find a
way to set the View differently (in particular the column headers) for
each folder. Can it not be done as in Thunderbird? Do they really all
have to have exactly the same View set? I think I must be missing something.

Absolutely Awesome.

Among so many other possibilities, it is now so much simpler now to see only

Thanks for sharing this :)
