Tell your operating system it is the default.

Easy enough to SAY... not so easy to actually DO.

Easy to do on Fedora. Sorry, I don't know Ubuntu.

I have SeaMonkey set to restore previous session on startup.

With this update, and the last few, after the update is done the
previous windows and tabs DO NOT get restored.

What do I have to set so that, no matter what, SeaMonkey ALWAYS restores
the previous windows and tabs when it restarts?

The loss of previous session information only appears to happen when a

SeaMonkey update starts with Email on the left, and the Browser to the right,

but the reason we use SeaMonkey (and always used Netscape) is it lets us

Does anybody know how to force SeaMonkey to open with Browser on left and
Email on right, on the Win XP task bar. We have multiple computers and
SeaMonkey profiles, so consistency is important.

After reading it several times it is still unclear to me what you mean

sometimes about the task bar. These are unrelated.

Odd that you get different results between the two.

Notes regarding HTTPS Everywhere:

HTTPSE by default has no ruleset for http://www.seamonkey-project.org/,
and doesn't attempt to redirect to https if you use
http://www.seamonkey-project.org/. You'd have to manually enter the ruleset:
https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere/rulesets

I also checked on a fresh install:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0
HTTPS-Everywhere 3.1.2true https-everywh...@eff.org

able
to read it by changing the extension to *.txt and opening the file in

Can I use this file in Seamonkey 2.14?

Problems

2013-01-10 Thread Joseph Wright
Over the past year I have been experiencing more problems with
SeaMonkey. I live in a semi-rural setting and use CenturyTel and its
DSL. SeaMonkey times-out when sending attachments as low as a half meg
routinely. I have to use the Yahoo Mail site to send mail with
attachments larger than 1 meg. I use Yahoo Mail Plus in order to
continue using SeaMonkey.

This past week I have been having more problems.
1) Saying my mail box was full and it couldn't download.
2) Asking to archive
3) The Error: The POP3 mail server (plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com) does not
support UIDL or XTND XLST, which are required to implement the ``Leave
on Server'', ``Maximum Message Size'' or ``Fetch Headers Only'' options.
To download your mail, turn off these options in the Server Settings for
your mail server in the Account Settings window.

I can no longer leave mail on the Yahoo server using SeaMonkey. Each new
version gives us me problems.
This just started in the last week or so. I stayed with SM to be
continuous with Netscape Messenger, but I fear it maybe time to move on.

Add to the list that pisses me off the most. In 1 of 5 messages I get a
message that the mail can't be sent because of no response or some other
message. The typed message just disappears. The message is in the Sent
folder. This started last year, but until six months ago, it would give
the option to retry. Now, it just disappears.

What are you doing?

Any ideas?

About tab displays

2013-01-10 Thread razvan alias play4fun
For some websites the icon in tabs are not displayed. For example i used
for 2 website Mozilla Firefox and SeaMonkey, with Firefox the icon are
displayed but with SeaMonkey they are not. Why? I`ll attach 2 prints also.

The easy way is through your computer operating system, but since we
don't know what it is, it is hard to advise.

Hello Nancy,

If you are seeing versions older than SeaMonkey 2.1 then you can
uninstall them. In most versions of Mozilla SeaMonkey, Netscape,
Mozilla Suite, each install installed the latest files for that version
(over-writing previous versions). When you us the uninstall application
it will remove all files related to Mozilla versions except your
profile, that is left alone for the next upgrade. Since version 2.0
SeaMonkey started to install its programs and new profiles in different
locations on your system. The uninstaller knows where these are and
will take care of it for you.

Just be sure you don't uninstall your current version by mistake, but if
you do you can re-install it and your profile will be intact.

Yes, it is in:

Do note that nobody has broken into your computer. It is merely the
automatic updating system, much like that of many pieces of software,
including your Windows 7 operating system.

Michael has told you how to turn it off, it you'd rather stay on an older
(less secure) version.

Your post here indicates you are using Windows 7 and SeaMonkey 2.14.1

His full header did contain this line:

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:17.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/17.0 SeaMonkey/2.14.1

So we might speculate that he's running Windows 7

Attachments are not allowed in this newsgroup.

What Web sites are affected?

On the SeaMonkey menu bar, go to [Edit Preferences]. On the resulting
Preferences window, seloect [Appearance Content]. Are there check
marks in the first two checkboxes?
