Hi,

thank you, I installed it in Firefox and it works, but cannot download
it in SM (the button is greyed out).

I will write to the developer to ask fro a SM version :)
Beside the alphabetical order, I'd like also a categories sorting (say:

A major rewrite of Password Manager made that method obsolete. It no

Have you tried the Remember Passwords extension? The Web site for
SeaMonkey says: Not available for SeaMonkey 2.21; but it works just
fine anyway. You can get it at
 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/remember-passwords/ if
you spoof Firefox. A SeaMonkey-specific link to this extension does not
 work.

You might have to tweak it to install it in SeaMonkey. If you have a
 problem, reply in this thread.

Note that neither the old change nor this extension will work for all
passwords. The logins for some Web sites are contrived to prevent users
 from saving passwords.

Thanks, David. I'll give it a try.

Composer / New Message issue.

I can spelll incorrectly words, and I see no red underline indicating there is
an error. (The word spelll should be indicated as in error, it is not.)

I can push the Spell button on the button bar, then Spell check catches and

If it's not listed under Permissions, that means you haven't told SM to
treat it any differently from your default settings. So if your default
is to accept session cookies (for example), SM will accept session
cookies for mightytext.net as well.

And if your Cookie Manager is showing cookies from that domain, then
yes, you're accepting their cookies and should be able to login. I think
we can rule out the possibility that you're rejecting their cookies,
which is the most common cause of login failures.

Any other ideas?

Sometimes sites need to set third-party cookies (or at least cookies
that SM considers to belong to a different domain). For example,
wellsfargo.com sets cookies when I login, but if I want to view their
personalized messages to me, I have to allow cookies from
messagecenter.wellsfargo.com as well. Since I couldn't get to their
message center without accepting a cookie from a domain I'd never
visited, it was pretty hard to figure out.

Given the volunteer nature of the project I'm guessing the answer will
be: When YOU volunteer to do it.

And, no, I'm not trying to be a wise-ass here. I've bitched about stuff
here for years but years ago I finally realized the true nature of this
grand experiment. You can bitch about it if you like but it isn't gonna
change anything.

And it may be wise to note, in the interests of sanity, that as much as
we all bitch we're all still here and we're all still using the software
others freely give of their time to develop.

Perfect situation? Nope. But, what is?

Ahh, apropos of this I just noticed (which I seldom do) my automagically

I've saved countless instructions on how to install new versions of

The first thing I thought of when I read the above, was what *else* did
you leave on that computer. Banking details? Browser history?
Passwords? All your email since it was new?

I'm sure others thought the same thing. Please reassure us that you
didn't give it to some stranger with all your personal data on it.

LOL... No, I started to say to a family member, but thought no one would
care what I did with it. ;)

Okay then. Thanks for the details. ;-)

The subject line is stupid too... of course I CAN install another
version, but what I meant was safely or without creating problems. :)

AFAIK, you can, but you may need to use the profile manager, else both
versions would probably use the same one.
