Re: x in tabs

2014-02-18 Thread pjdkrunkt
Hi guys, I am the developer of Sea Fox. I knew some of you probably wouldn't
like everything that Sea Fox does, so I've gotten permission from CatTheif to
resurrect SeaTab X. In the next few days SeaTab-X-2 should appear here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/seatab-x-2/

It is not exactly like the last version of SeaTab X, and it does require that
you change the browser.tabs.closeButtons setting to work the way you expect it
to.

Glad you were able to learn that tactic. It's been a part of
SeaMonkey/ Thunderbird probably since the beginning, over a decade
ago. All other email clients and newsreaders I've used also have the
same capability.

It was a longstanding bug that Mozilla products did not have this basic
feature. IIRC, Thunderbird finally got it with version 3.0 at the end
of 2009. It shipped with a SeaMonkey release somewhat before that,
but not a lot.

I too like that feature, although I must admit it sometimes shoots me in the
proverbial foot!

Routinely happens on 2.61, win7 64bit. If I click on a link it just blinks.

The problem has gotten worse this AM (Win 7, SM 2.24, 64bit) and two windows

More info: it has to do with clicking a link in email which opens any browser

Seems to be highly repeatable, e.g.

Try IE Tab V2?

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/ie-tab-2-sm-20/?src=ss

OK I have removed my version IE Tab + Version 2.04.20110724, which I
would have though was version 2 hence the 2.04.20110724. I then
installed I then installed IE Tab 2. Everything install OK however,
I do
not have IE Tab icon in the Bookmark Toolbar or in the status/quick
launch bar as I did before. So even though it installed I can not
use to
may to switch rendering engine.

Anymore thoughts on this?

Danny

The only version I've found to work with SM is IE Tab 2 v4.12.22.2.
This
works for me on all my PC's.

And where can you find this version?

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/ie-tab-2-sm-20/versions/

Thanks, Dennis. The v4.x link works fine, but v5.x installs without
incident, then doesn't work. It's options are available thru Add-On
Mgr, but no context menu options come up. Make sure you're not
auto-updating your add-ons, or v5 will overwrite the v4 you just got
working, and it'll stop working again.

Thank you Dennis that link work great, at last I have a version of IE
Tab that works. Thanks to all that responded with help.

Danny,

You guys are welcome but really you should be thanking WaltS. All I did
was follow his link and do some slight investigating. If you follow
Walt's link then scroll down to the bottom you will see Version
Information, click on that and then you will see See complete version
history . Click that and you wind up where my link takes you. Walt
gave you the information, you just needed to follow his link with open
eyes. I found it and I didn't even want it, I can't even use it in
linux. Probably wouldn't use it if my platform supported it because
there is nothing about IE I find even remotely attractive.

Your correct... Thank you WaltS. Again you are correct I find there is
nothing about IE I find even remotely attractive either. However, once
in awhile your run into a website that will on run well on SM and you
have to use IE. It is easier to switch rendering engines, than it is to
launch IE and then copy and paste the URL.

Better explanation.
I have a lot of stuff stored as Screenshots (jpg
files) of Bank and Stock Market data.
I have a program to view and manipulate these
files (Graphics Workshop Pro - [GWP]).
I have Hide Files and Folders (HFF) which
conceals whatever folders you set it up to conceal.
I have set HFF to hide the folders that the GWP
can read - so only I can access them with a password.
I invoke HFF and it asks for a password. i
provide the password.
HFF opens and I click on Unhide - now I can open
GWP and access my secret files.
When I am done, I invoke HFF, enter the password
and click HIDE. Then exit HFF.
Back to no one can see them - hidden (how I don't

When you see the mozilla and netscape, click on the little

need to expand some that have the little arrowheads next to them, such
