On site radarbox24.com, I get an error when going to cockpit view for a

Also on this test site, it says "Nay" for my current laptop, and "Yay"

Yeah, it is an old ATI Radeon 4870 video card with its v9.4 driver

WFM using SeaMonkey 2.33.1 on Mac OS X 10.7.5

Have you checked you settings (esp. your image settings in the

Is it possible you have an add on interfering with the viewing of this
web page? Disable all your add ons and see if the images can be viewed?
If the images can be viewed activate the add-ons one at a time until the

Yes. Sounds like an anti-virus program set to check programs before
loading & remember the results so it doesn't have to scan on
subsequent program loads.

So... do you ahve an a/v program? set to check programs when they
load? and set to scan only on the first load?

Short answer: ask your ISP. Their limit is probably 50-100 at a time.

Of course, if you're working with a mailman, listserv, or other mailing

You don't give any details about how you want to send this email. Since
you posted to the SeaMonkey newsgroup and you have a charter.net email
address, I'll assume you want to use it with your ISP's email service.

They probably have a limit of addresses, to combat spammers. The last time
I used an ISP's email services, its limit was 25 recipients per email.

In any case, do *not* place all the addresses in the TO field. Put them in
the BCC field (Blind Carbon Copy) in order to preserve their privacy.

I have noticed over a period of several months that each time I update
Seamonkey (currently 2.33.1) it seems to take longer to open when called
upon. I have timed it and the delay before an operational browser is
available has been up to two minutes. Is this normal?

I do not have extensions or add ons except for User Agent switcher
and Last Pass Security. I have two PC's and a laptop, the second PC has
only User Agent Switcher and all three experience this delay. Is there a
setting I am missing or could this be an ISP problem. I have Cox Cable
which is the so called "fastest" in this area.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Switch your home page to blank or a local HTML page and test to take Cox
out of the equation.

I set the home page to "Blank", no change to delay. I then disabled the
Host file which is quite large and thought it might be a cause. However,
after closing the browser and shutting down the system a cold boot and
restart of Seamonkey the delay is still apparent.

If I close Seamonkey and restart it, the delay is minimal. It appears
that upon the initial start of Seamonkey after boot up something is
interfering with or configuring the program before it opens and is then
erased when the system shuts down. Does this make any kind of sense?

I can live with the slow start up, it's just an annoyance. I'm now just
curious as to cause and effect and would appreciate any further insights
that might explain it.

Cockpit view works for me. I am using SM 2.35.

In
about:addons
click on "plugins" and set select video renderings to "Ask to Activate"

This works well for me to control which videos are run.

That does nothing to HTML5, which is not mediated by plugins.

Would that explain CPU Spin when reading a message ?

Did see where you said that you have compacted folders, if you haven't
the data is still there and must be parsed even thought "deleted".

My profile has a long legacy from NN 4.x and I have ~4GB data in my mail
folders and do not have your issue...just saying.

Jonathan, do you have all that 4GB of data in just your Inbox and Sent
folders, or have you moved data into other folders with-in your profile
and then File =>Empty Trash and File->Compact Folders??

This is with proper emptying trash and junk and compacting. I just have
archived my messages for the past 16 years.

This means that either your graphics card is on the WebGL blocklist - or
your current driver version for that graphics card is on the blocklist.
This happens, when the WebGL can cause instabilities on such hardware.

Not sure if there is a newer document about this, but an older list is here:
