If you use windows instead of tabs ... you will be able automatically to
see 2 window on your screen.
And for some site where the target is _self ... you can rigth-click on
the link and then you click on "open in a new window"

Work for me, with adblockplus and noscripts.

Strange, you have the same UA as I do, but disabling "Advertise Firefox
compatibility" solves it for me, as noted upthread. Wonder why I have a
problem and you don't.

OT -- my wife is Korean and used to go to this site a lot to watch
Korean movies.

I edit the English subtitles there, have seen 2,969 episodes and 62
movies (there and elsewhere) since 2008.

The only way I know is to drag one of those tabs to an open spot on the
desktop and then arrange the two windows side-by-side. I do this often.

When I do that, I get a shortcut on the desktop, not a window. Double-clicking the
shortcut opens in a tab in an existing window. Any ideas to make it work your way?

No trouble (page loads normally) on other devices or other browsers.

Clearing cache and cookies, restarting SM has no effect.

Rebooting computer has no effect.

Other websites are unaffected.

Disabling AdBlock Plus everywhere has no effect.

I sometimes see that kind of thing when NoScript is blocking Javascript.
It looks like some JSON code which is supposed to be interpreted by a
script running from the page but, with the scripts blocked, gets
displayed instead. However, loads OK for me,
whether or not Javascript is blocked...

I was wondering if you might have any other extensions which might have
an effect, but see you've tried safe mode which should have taken care
of that...

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/49.0 SeaMonkey/2.46

Works for me with:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.46
and with:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0
SeaMonkey/2.46
which I'd expect to behave the same to your version. So possibly
something different in your configuration.

Perhaps try with a new profile? Tools > Switch Profile > Manage
Profiles, create a new one and switch to it. If that works, it'll be a
case of trying to figure out what's different in your usual profile to
cause this. Whether or not it works, you can easily get back to your
usual profile through Tools > Switch Profile again.
