Seeing Messages Texts on the Screen
I am unable to see the text or messages on the newsgroup. I can see the titles of messages and when I click on a message, I see this message: Launch ApplicationX This link deeds to open with an application. My standard browser is Firefox under win 10 already Steve, I know there is a way of doing what you want by adjusting one of SeaMonkey's preferences. In the SeaMonkey Browser, enter "about:config" (without the quotes!) in the address bar, accept the warning, then, in the Search: Bar, enter "external" and locate the preference "browser.link.open_external", click on that. I *think* this is the preference you need to adjust if not, I'm sure someone will drop by to shoot me down!! ;-P To find out what to set the 'value' to have a read/look at http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config_entries, specifically http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.link.open_external If you still have problems, do come back here! You can add an external protocol handler which will not work 100% / for all cases. Many internal calls would need to be changed and this will not happen in this life.
